·I have 6 in wrists, the 3861 in sapphire fits beautifully and definitely does not look too large. I also put it on a rubber strap which masks some of the thickness and helps it fit much more snug on my wrist.
I find that Rolex *generally* wears better on smaller wrists, but not the newer generation subs or explorer IIs - they felt like I was wearing a slab on my wrist. If you go the Rolex route I'd strongly recommend a GMT II, yachtmaster, or daytona (or go for the older models which are smaller).
