A pristine example !!!!
The gold plated sport watches would not fetch crazy price, even for this minty example.
The less than perfect example price would be disaster 😁

Not too long ago you could pick one of these for around $750 for a nice one.
Now they're asking ridiculous amounts for crappy examples.
It will be interesting to see at what dollar amount I chicken out at.
If only the Canadian Dollar wasn't so deep in the pit.

I don't recall ever seeing one this nice at an auction, but then again this isn't on my short list. I think the modern re-issue of the Mark II has really buoyed the market prices for the vintage ones. Will be interesting to see how high this goes.

We're dinosaurs Dave. LouS, cicindela, and I had a conversation about updating our price expectations from 2 or 3 years ago. I was still working on 2011 selling prices in 2014. Pretty soon we'll be the codgers saying stuff like "I remember when a late 50's Broad Arrow sold for only $10K!" when they're going for a quarter million. 😜🤦

On a climbing forum I go by "Auld Codger" didn't appreciate that us codgers had gone global 😀

Well I also missed that "not too long ago" period and my timidity in striking decent deal at that time !!!! ( I am talking about 2012 price)
