I drove many Alfetta GTVs and was quite partial to the nicely balanced 2.0 version, but, for a car of this style format, I preferred a Sprint Veloce. However, we did very occasionally see one of the South African-assembled 3 litres, which were quick and very responsive, being on carbs:

Quite a rarity today.

Along with a GTV8 this has to be the ultimate 116 GTV for me. Carbs rule, after all (especially Dellorto)!

I do love this hood (fiberglass) and been playing with the idea of getting one for my GTV as well...
