I had a dream about watches.

Last night I dreamed I was at some sort of spa retreat facility that also had a summer camp vibe as there were children running around. After some time of arbitrary dreamscape randomness I was suddenly being offered watches to try by the facility staff.

I was given an IWC Ingenieur with a sort of light blue / ice blue dial. More or less like this but this is more turquoise than I recall the dream watch.

Whether I had purchased it or was being asked to purchas it, I now can’t recall. But the dream wasn’t exactly a fun one. Towards the end, I had a looming feeling that I was going to be pressured into buying a bunch of watches and spending money I didn’t want to spend. And I was at this odd resort that I wasn’t sure how long I was there, why I was there, or when I would be leaving.

I’ve never had a watch dream before. I don’t ascribe much metaphysical or spiritual meaning to dreams. I believe it’s the brain’s process for encoding the prior day’s information and rebooting neuro-chemical levels for the next day.

And now that the dream is really fading from memory, maybe it was actually an Alpine Eagle.

Some members reported buying watches while on medication. Buying a watch while dreaming would take it to another level.

Yep, you are overthinking it. Before you go to bed look at something else to take your mind in a different location. For me it is actually opposite, I like to think of dream watches while I fall asleep. It usually helps.

I wish I could dream about 'dream watches'.

I wake up at night trying to decide which watch that I actually own I should wear the following day 😳

I’m still trying to figure out why the IWC or Chopard. They’re nice watches but my steel sports watch needs (with or without integrated bracelet) are quite satisfied at the moment.

I used to have school stress dreams. Like when it’s end of year exams and I haven’t touched a book all year and the whole dream is about trying to remember my locker combination.

And there are work stress dreams that are similar.

A watch stress dream?

ok, if we vote for your new integrated bracelet wrist bling, imma have to go with AP. it’s puurrtty. If I’m trying to attract random dudes on the street, this is all I wear, everyday.

That would be a very different kind of watch dream for me.

But go ahead and ship it to me and I’ll let you know how it works out.

The IWC is nice....but the Chopard? So dreamy

I do like the texture of the dial on the Chopard. But whatever my limbic system is trying to encourage during sleep, once the prefrontal cortex wakes up it reminds us we can’t live solely on a diet of modern stainless steel sports watches.

Now maybe if I could find something vintage 🤔

Nice try but someone got to me before you. First I have worry about whether my collection is unfinished without a Tiffany blue Nautilus.

Waaaaay back in 2017 or so I had a dream about a Speedy with a blue aventurine dial like my Stardust. Eventually Omega released the Blue Side of the Moon. I’m psychic…. Just slow. 😅

I woke up at 4 this morning after a dream that my Seamaster was gone. In its place were a strange stainless steel watch with a high domed crystal. The dream was set in a hotel somewere after a drunken stupor, so I asked the receptionist if he had seen it. The answer was "No, but there is a lot of forgoten Rolexes here you may take one of them". Took me two hours to fall aseep again after that ordeal.

If it was my dream I would have spent the rest of the time running around the hotel looking for a case to put the free Rolex in then not been able to find the reception desk again to collect it.

Coincident or not.
Omega just released a Rolex Seamasters.
You should stop giving Omega anymore ideas.

That was the Maxell commercial…late 1970s and/or early 1980s if I remember correctly…those were cool times. 😎
Affirmative. And I had more than one friend with it as a poster on their wall.
