this is an example with some patina
Bracelet is really nice from the looks also

Lovely case, but being based in EU the import taxes and duties will make it extremely expensive 馃榾

I have been offered this 14060 in a private deal from a person close to where I live. The case obviously isn't unpolished, but it still seems sharp with unmolested crown guards. And the patina seems lovely.

It is sold as watch only and the price is the equivalent of 6170 euros.

What do you guys think?

I personally wouldn鈥檛 say the crown guards are unmolested, as the spring bars are quite close to protruding the case, so the case sides including the crown guard will have had some meat taken off.

I think now that you are starting to consider polished watches, you鈥檝e definitely opened yourself up for more choice. In that case, I think there鈥檚 better polished examples out there.

Mediocre case on that one. Otherwise fine. Price is high for a private sale IMO.

I thought the price was quite fair for a tritium sub in Europe. I'm looking to buy my second sub (this time tritium) and I really dont see them cheaper over here.

@Hnansen

I can鈥檛 stress enough - Enjoy the hunt.. let it take a while to find the right one. You don鈥檛 want to be underwhelmed when you put it on the wrist.

the hunt is more exciting than the purchase!

Now your open to a polished model, enjoy the research and hunt

Sorry to keep you guys waiting!

I decided to pass on it, as I agree with the statement that the case could be better! 馃榾

Thnx. That's nice of you. But I'm really looking for a nice 5513. Talking about difficult searches. But I have patience.

Un/lightly polished 14060's are getting hard to come by and command a premium, obviously the watch above is polished but you need to look at the bracelet, its baggy and well worn and shows the watch has been tidied up for sale, keep looking as they do appear but devil is in the detail as they say..

Love my 1995 14060 T25, will never sell it. Threw a khaki Nato on it today for a change.

The hunt is indeed half the fun. Rolex made a ton of these, you will find a good one if you are patient and persistent.

There are many pristine vintage subs in Japan. I was tempted many times when I was there last year but the prices there are bonkers.

Agree that the fun is in the hunt. I've been patient in many hunts and always wait for the right one to come.

Absolutely true that examples out of Japan are particularly well cared for. Be persistent and good luck!
