No I adore it always have. However a few quid I am fine with.. a few grand not so much! I guess I am slightly concerned about getting mugged though as it's so recognisable and if it keeps going up! Pepsi has many copy cats

I have had mine for almost 3 years and only once someone realized what it was. I think is the color, most people don’t know that there is a green submariner.

Nobody really can tell you about how a watch is going to do in the future but I think that Rolex is going to eventually do an overhaul and put the 3235 movement in the submariner.

That’s true. Make sure it’s insured properly and you will be fine.

I’d keep it in your shoes.

But what value? I can just imagine fighting with a specialist trained claims person who will look for any tiny slipup in their t&c to not pay out or for much less. I mean I paid £6050 and WF have my 2016 piece up for £13650 lol..do I insure it at £13650? Would they agree with that?

No, coz you won't get that and nor will they. Same ol same ol... You can ask whatever you want, but whether you get it is a different story. Wear it under your cuff and don't brag about it. Talk to people you know and trust and you will be fine

Try asset sure. They work with watchfinder so know the secondary market values. Ring them and try. I insure all mine with them and they are quite reasonable.

keep it. trading one up sometimes doesnt work out. i still lament letting my 14060M go as part of a trade for 16710 when I had the cash for it.

I can understand how you feel. The price hike has taken some of the fun out of wearing my Hulk. I used to wear it almost everyday but now It just sits in the safe. This is my daily watch now. image.jpg

I'm seriously considering getting the new blue diver 300 as my daily and safeing the Hulk same as you. It feels SO much better quality than the old 300 diver and much closer all round to the sub and can wear it without feeling vulnerable

The difference in value the Hulk will probably rise by this time next year if it discontinues will probably cover most of the cost on the Omega anyway!

Doesn't seem you're wearing it much and what good it is in the safe? Not a rare reference. still in production, and easy to get another one down the road if you change your mind. 20 years from now, who knows.

Can anyone really reliably predict if something will appreciate (let alone quantify how much it will change)?

Should be an easier flip than the Apollo 50th... Sell it :D

Those who can won't tell you... because the resources they've invested into predicting such stuff have to generate some ROI. And if the word spreads, the ROI goes down...

Just to make sure, we are talking about the Hulk here right? I agree with you that is not a rare reference and is still in production but it is not that easy to get/find right now unless you want to pay a premium.
