Not sure I agree with having Harry Potter references. I recall seeing a lot of witches, but not a lot of watches....

Well, if you can not get watches at least you get witches. I don't mind to be accompanied by Hermione for an evening. 😉

I coined the term "neorologism," a word meaning a new word coined about watches. I also claim the "Golden Squirrel of Distraction," a term for any shiny object that leads me astray every time I'm about to pull the trigger on a Cal 321 Speedmaster.😀. Finally, "alcoholiday," a term to describe most holidays, but especially St. Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras and Cinco de Mayo.

Golden Squirrel of Distraction

Wonder if he's related to the two squirrels who live in my yard?

Dancing squirrel......

..... and Incoming squirrel.

Yard Squirrels are very attuned to the horological comings and goings of their yards. Every time I get a new watch, a new squirrel appears.
I don't want to tell you how many squirrels we are up to now 🤦

Just remembered another one: "Franken-sense," the capacity to detect put-together watches... especially during the winter holiday season.

Don't forget the recently added, "Kytina" for the rusty type of patina favored by Kyle and his devote followers.

Where did "Conmaster" come from? - an all time favourite of mine.

I liked when one member said that something caused him to:
"Invicta in his mouth a little."
Very descriptive.

It was either that or Seastellation being used to describe a franken that had a Seamaster case (hippcampus logo) and a Constellation dial.

Search either here and check out the threads, including an interesting one about a dial that had both Seamaster and Constellation on it.

Thank you Dennis for your support. The meaning of Conmaster was clear to me, though i wouldn't have been able to write it down as good as you (sorry about the confusion), my question was about if the term was coined here on OF?

And here I thought the Conmaster would be the guy selling such a watch? 😉

My first thought, too, but probably both! 😲
