How long have you been on the cal. 321 waiting list?

You might still have hope. I don’t see them discontinuing the 321. Plus they are more of a niche watch compared to something like a Snoopy. I waited about 6 months for my 321 and around 9 months for my Snoopy, both from my OB.
Was hanging out talking to my OB SA this past Saturday for a couple hours and he said the 321 list isn’t nearly as bad as the Snoopy list. He still gets a handful of people coming in weekly asking for Snoopy. He actually had a couple people turn down the 321. Honestly, I like my Snoopy better. It is a show stopper if you see it in person. The dial is a silver white, stunning and the blue is a rich color.

Maybe I should ask Joshua to add me to the 321 list. But, to be honest- I have a very, very strong feeling I'd like the Snoopy more overall.

Joshua put me on the list several years ago. I have a very, very strong feeling I will be the next Pope before I get the call for a 321.

Maybe you'll have better luck.

Me too. The Snoopy is just so different. I really wasn’t that sold from the pics but once I saw it, I told Joshua, I’ll take it. I liked it so much more that I ended up selling my 321. I just couldn’t swing it as I picked up the 321, a Rolex 116710BLNR, and then the Snoopy. Was way too much cash going out in a short period. Joshua and I were talking a couple hours on Saturday and I told him I sold the 321 for reasons I said. He understood and appreciated my honesty. He said he had a couple other clients who actually passed on the 321 after getting a Snoopy too. I felt it was only fair to come clean so he doesn’t ask me about the 321 and I have to lie about having it. He said the 321 actually helped me get the Snoopy and he knew that was the watch I really wanted as that was the first watch I asked him for just before the beginning of the year. I’m sure you could get on a 321 list. The Snoopy though, unless you already are there, that one will be a serious feat to get on and actually hope to secure one.

I doubt it. Much like you, it's a bit out of my way to drive up to the Boutique and chat up Joshua for hours on end... unlike that @Sauzo character...

I have to say that I find it quite irritating reading this about you selling the 321 after waiting a few 6 months. 🤬

Plus, you sold the 321 instead of the ubiquitous BLNR. ::facepalm1::

Pretty impressive that you've been able to pick up both, and I totally understand the need to sell the 321 given your purchase of the Batman. Seems you and I may share a passion for things that are (partly) blue... anyway, I'll be content if I never wind up with one from the OB. I don't have a Speedmaster yet, and there is one other than the Snoopy I'd like to have.

lol I know. But I’m not one of those guys who have big watch collections. I generally have 2-3, maybe 4 at tops so it came down to either 2 speedies, the BLNR with a black dial and the 321 with a black dial, or the BLNR with a black dial and the Snoopy with a silver/white dial. If I could have swung all 3, I definitely would have but I had to make a choice.

Well it was kind of funny, I went in to get a link added to the Snoopy and next thing you know, it’s been like 2+ hours. Luckily I live fairly close.

I don't blame you. Joshua is easy to talk to. I'll probably be back up in Seattle in a couple of weeks to pick up some boots from a cobbler; my wife wants to stop by the Harry Potter world thing going on in the same building as the Bellevue OB. Perhaps I'll stop by and tell Joshua hi when I'm up.

To be honest, unless you are really into the whole history, a Speedy Pro would most likely fill your need for half the price. I really liked the size of the 321 as well as the movement which was gorgeous and the dial but otherwise, I’m not sure if it is worth the $17k to be honest. And yes, I do like blue. I’m a very casual dresser who wears jeans and t-shirts mostly so the BLNR and the Snoopy fit me well. Plus I like to wear my watches and not baby them. So if something happened to the 321, it would be a long time back to Bienne where as my BLNR would go to Dallas and my Snoopy would go to Seattle.

Check out the Speedy racing with the Spirate if you go up there. Joshua showed it to me. It came in on the same shipment as my Snoopy. Really a cool watch but it’s 44mm. Joshua knows me and 44mm watches don’t mesh lol. My sweet spot is 38-42mm

Do you still have (unless I'm misremembering) the Summer Blue PO? That, coupled with the Snoopy and now the Batman, is why I assumed you had a soft spot for blue.

I've considered a lot of Speedies, I may end up with something like a 3861 eventually. Love NASA and the history (which is what got me into Omega in the first place) but there are other dial variations of the speedy I prefer more than the standard tool watch black. Can't say why, guess I'm just picky.

No I don’t have that anymore….i know I know. I’m down to 3 watches right now. My 116710BLNR, Snoopy, and 16570 Ex II polar dial. And exactly about the tool watch black. Couldn’t put it any better. I really liked the Speedy Racing with Spirate, the DSOTM Apollo 8 and the 38mm Speedy but I’m done until probably late next year. Think we do have the same taste in watches.

There is never a right answer to these sorts of questions. I've owned the New EW321 since March 2022, it would be the last of my 12 Speedmasters I would sell. Bought it grey from a European dealer here on OF. I had a LE CK2998 with blue ceramic bezel and blue panda dial that had a similar vibe as the Snoopy but I never bonded with the blue theme and it went bye bye. That's mainly why I have no interest in the 50th Snoopy, and the trick back is just a bit too clever for me. No right or wrong.

On C24 there are about 32 New 321s for sale, starting at around US$18k, that's not a terrible premium on the official price of $15.4k. And some of those have wiggle room price wise. I see no point waiting for years on an OB waiting list when they are available elsewhere, but some people won't pay a dime over MSRP. Odd to me. And the longer you wait the higher the retail price goes, too. Buy it now, enjoy it now is my modus operandi.

Yeah, the Snoopy caseback initially was neat but that’s wearing off. For some reason, the silverish dial and the shade of blue just rub me the right way. And yeah, after you factor in tax, the Grey market isn’t too bad now at the moment. In my case, the heart wants what the heart wants.

I mean this is a great combo if you ask me….a little Omega and a little Rolex, best of both worlds.

That Snoopy animation is not worth the additional thickness, especially if you wear the watch often. The moon print looks like a cheap sticker compared to the spinning earth. And, it gets old after viewing it two or three times. To me, the beauty of this watch is solely in the dial and bezel. It is indeed the perfect blue. Not too dark, no purple tinge, just perfect!!! This watch has to be experienced in person without the boutique light glare to appreciate the details.
