I'm a little confused by your post. So you wear a watch but don't wind it or set the time? Or you don't even wear a watch?

Had my speedy pro new from OB in march 17. The outer omega cardboard box I got it in said it was manufactured in August 16. So it was sitting around on shelves for 6-7 months? I find If I let it wind down to hack the seconds (they wont hack on mine with more than 1/2 wind even with the chrono running) then the first 1/2 of the wind is free and easy, I then start to notice a little resistance then for the final few turns it seems harder until I feel the stop. Sort of seems logical to me as the as the spring nears full tension it has more resistance but I don't know that for sure.

I have to laugh, when I first got this watch it was the first hand wind I have ever had. At 4000 Euros I was so worried about over winding it that I only gave about 12 half turns then wondered why the Chrono would not function properly! after the first couple of days owning and thinking the new watch is f**ked I searched online and found you guys. One of the many "how to wind a Speedy" threads. I got some balls and kept winding through the resistance until I felt the (at that time "Fabled") stop. The watch has worked perfectly since. To be honest the OB should have shown me how to wind it, I didn't know it was a potential issue at the time of purchase. I now wind it every morning unless I want to hack the seconds, its my main wear and gets more wrist time than my SMP300 and the other watches I have.

I probably need to come up with a plan to get wrist time to the SMP and the gshock. but to be honest the gshock just sits in the sun keeping the charge topped up (I use it as a regulator for the SMP and the Speedy as its radio set every night), the SMP300 is quartz and so is pretty damn accurate anyway and will just sit there until I need it. Its the Speedy that needs care love and attention every day. Then an iwatch has just arrived, courtesy of the old lady....now I have a dilemma how do I keep wearing my omegas and an iwatch...any ideas???

My '92 winds easily with the edge of my forefinger.

This is how I wind mine, ST in my case. Not as nice to wind as my CWC Pilots reissue, but that thing was a joy. Certainly no issue with winding here, don't think about it TBH.
