Storage in an oil can which is then buried in the wall has been shown to be effective.

How many watches till they're 2 heavy 2 carry and have 2 be rolled? That is kinda cool. I'm at 3. I don't think I'm due 4 a roller case yet.

Just ordered 3 of these. 1 in each color.
These will work perfect for me. I don't want
35 watches in one case. These will allow me
to also use the plastic zip cases for individual
watches with desiccant pouches in them the way I
have them now. There are straps inside the individual
compartments also. Great price too. And more organized.
Slow boat from China though.

This is my choice for home or travel. The Royce Watch Roll. It is short and compact but very well made, inside and out, in leather. It will hold 5 large face watches. Really nice thing about this case is that the inner cylinder is only about 2 inches in diameter so that if firmly holds watch bracelets but will not stretch them. Cost about $60 on amazon.

depends on whether you're storing wrist or pocket watches.......

I'm trying to be more rational, and only travel with one watch on the wrist, and two more. I liked the look of those Hodinkee two watch zipped pouches, but (i) At $200 + tax they are pricey (ii) I don't like the fact they have Hodinkee emblazoned on them (iii) they all sold out now. Anyway, I picked this Wolf case up for $18, and I'm quite pleased with it....

I store 36 of them as shown, with a foam rubber cover, under plexiglass, all in a hard sided carry case. Then another 14 in a watch roll. Then there are the pocket watches. Similarly cuddled in foam rubber, 36 in a hard sided carry case, and another dozen or so in another matching case. Where do I keep the cases? Classified, but VERY safe! My watches are never on display in my home, but I do exhibit them at hobby shows, antique shows, and museums. I have splendid glass and oak, custom made cases for use in exhibits.

This inexpensive display case I bought on eBay. It holds 30, which, at one time, wasn't enough. I'm working on filling it back up.

My collection is pretty meager compared to you veterans but its about to start growing. And as I just explained to my wife, my watch box holds another 3 watches.

Whichever 2 aren't on my wrist go in my gun safe.

@Barking mad your collection of Speedys is quite impressive.

Wow, some of these collections! I have 5 watches, and it is starting to feel like a few too many.
