Picked this up today in a shop in Seattle in beautiful condition. Date of issue is July 25, 1969. Love it.

The Boston MFA recently had an excellent exhibit on how photography influenced Life and vice versa. I didn't realize that Life Magazine had gotten exclusive rights to publish the color photography/film taken on the moon and that was the first time Life published in color

Great collection! Wish I had some of those magazines.

My brother and I back then in our cardboard Moon Walkers. I think I was about 7 at the time.

The hole set for the moon landing was cardboard, Speedmasters never went to the moon.

I picked up a few today also. Check out these photos. It’s evident that many advertisers seized the moment. My watch appears on the covers to obscure the original recipient.
Space is the last place I’d want to be if my wife/girlfriend looked like that.
