What kind of bracelet is this?

Hi,

A watch I got today (1950’s Genève) came on this bracelet. I can tell it’s a flatlink by the looks of it, but the previous one I had was stamped with a bracelet code (1039).

This one is not stamped with a bracelet code, only with ‘Omega’ and ‘2 55’ or ‘2 59’ (hard to see with the naked eye). The end links are stamped ‘4’.

🤷‍♂️

It's an early (and quite valuable) 7077; the 4 end links are also quite valuable. More here:

Ah, thanks a lot!
So I have a first gen short buckle. And since the earliest ones weren’t date stamped we can conclude the stamp says ‘59. 👍

Indeed—great find. And it looks generally to be in excellent condition. It seems shorter than it would've originally been—one of the two double-link spring sections seems to have been removed—but otherwise it seems great. Congrats and enjoy.

Correct, according to the topic you linked to, it originally had five double spring links. Mine has four left, which is more than enough for my wrist.

And it looks generally to be in excellent condition
I’m going to have to convince my friends that this is actually not a Forstner. 😁
