How accurate is your Omega?

My 2018 Speedmaster 1861 runs about +7 /day seems to get magnatized a lot, no matter, it's getting traded on a 3861 Sapphire very soon. My daily driver, a 38mm Speedmaster 3330, is consistently +3/day, certainly within COSC standards. The 3861 should be easier to track now it hacks.
What are the indicators that your 1861 is magnetized?

It is my seamaster 300m. It seems to lose about 0.5-1 sec per day during the day on wrist, and gains about the same overnight when place dial down. 馃榿

My 39.5mm PO, on the other hand, loses about 2-3 sec per day no matter what position I tried ::facepalm1::.

They both have the same 8800 movement though.

My seamaster is very accurate. Despite its METAS results, my real world experience is more accurate. I also do some regulation at night so after 3 months of wearing I'm at +1.2 secs from NTP time so my average is +0 sec/day. We'll just have to see how long the movement can maintain this....
So far I try not to wear my watch when doing manual labor or activities like running or biking.
Are they not a sports watch?
Never take mine off.
Work, run, cycle, swim, even punch the bag with it on!

The modern seamasters that I have owned all run around +/- 6 seconds a day
My metas ploprof around 2 seconds a day
And my watchco 300 that has a vintage 565 movement around 10 seconds a day

If a watch ticks at 28800bph, then it is ticking at 8bps.
so say it ticks at 28803bph instead (that's about 1/100 of a percent too fast), then in an hour it's ticking 3 ticks extra. In 24 hours it's 72 ticks extra. 72 ticks is 9 seconds a day.

So that's what it comes down to.
3spd corresponds to 28801 bps.
9spd corresponds to 28803 bps.
these are very small percentage errors.

Got the new coaxial Speedmaster Pro and am at +1.4 seconds/day after a week. Really pleased with it.

I have a 2019 1861 and it is consistently fast. I wear and wind everyday. It runs on avg btw 8 and 11 seconds fast (per day) over a two week interval. If it's always consistently fast is it best to get it adjusted to run a bit slower? I can never get it slower than +6 seconds a day (leaving it at 6up overnight).
I know it's in spec, but if its always fast does it make sense to slow it down?

Does omega to anything to make it close to zero as possible when it leaves the factory? Or is it just timed and if in spec, they leave it alone?

Generally, starts running 10-15 seconds a day fast, I have the Lepsi App on my phone that detects magnetism, seems to work well, then a $10 demagnetizer I got off eBay generally does the job.

I have been wearing my SMP Diver (8800) for 12 days straight now (take it off only during bed time and rest it in a dial up position) and it has gained only 4.1 seconds during the whole time (Average +0.3 second per day)

Never used an app to measure the accuracy of my older watches so i don't know if this is good or extraordinarily good!

Anyone else have a METAS (or not) movement to compare their accuracy ?
I have an 8800 on an AT 38mm. Purchased new a month ago. Running on time. Less than 1 + sec variation per week!. Highly accurate.

This one is dead nuts right on. If it's off a second a week, something's wrong!

Uh oh. Have a 2500D from 2013ish new to me that I鈥檓 not sure when was last serviced that is at worst -1spd. Was going to do the omega service but now worried it鈥檒l end up less accurate. Maybe I鈥檒l just assume it was serviced recently....

The 2500 in my post above? Omega service.

Anecdotes are not data.

I鈥檓 kind of bummed with the accuracy of my Speedmaster.

I received a couple of months ago as a 40th birthday present and, even though it鈥檚 within spec, +9 seconds a day is enough to make it in accurate within a week.

I tried all of the different resting positions overnight and +9.5 spd is the best I鈥檝e gotten, and that鈥檚 either dial down or crown down.

True but it can only go downhill from here.
