Mods can delete this if not OK
Happy to flag @cicindela @dsio

But why would someone that just sold a ST at a nice profit not go down the AD or Omega route. 😗

Not having a shot for selling for a profit here as each to their own on buying and selling a watch just a observation.

How quickly this thread, and some of you turn. It's quite funny to see.

At any rate, Joma HAVE solved the issue. They gave me a partial refund. As I already have a bunch of NATOs and an Omega bracelet changer, etc. I didn't really need the huge box so I agreed.

There, is that enough for you @Nobel Prize ? I'd say it was pretty easy to type that out.

To everyone else, sorry for the delay! I haven't really been posting on this board the last few days. And people like @Nobel Prize and @STANDY just reminded me why....

Fwiw I appreciate this thread. Understanding there's 2 sides to every story and in the end I have a little more knowledge about who/where/how to buy than I did previously.

As I stated above.
Have no issue with what you have done or did at all and have not turned on you. Would have posted the same for anyone. ( been known to call a spade a spade ever since I have been here )

You came to the members expressing a problem and asking for advice. You got the advice and allowed your issue to lead some to say they wouldn't buy from JS because of your experience. Given this, it was incumbent on you to timely pass along the resolution so as to avoid the impression that nothing was done.

You can shoot the messenger, you can't ignore the message.

I for one had no malice on my one comment on the matter, Just being pragmatic that's all. If the optics do reflect badly that's no ones fault here but yours. All you have to do is close the loop and it all goes back to its context.

And speaking of context.... don't mind @STANDY , he's Australian.

Oh ok, btw in that case I wanted to ask (totally off topic) Checo is short for Sergio in Mexico but is it the same in Spain or is it a cultural thing rather than a language thing?

I think it's only in South America. I was never nicknamed Checo. I actually hate the name Sergio so I would have jumped on Checo if I could have.

Sorry for your shopping experience with Jomashop. I purchased three Omega watches through Topper Jewlers without a hitch. They provided all documentation, boxes and warranty card. If you are looking to purchse another Omega watch, give Topper Jewlers a Google.

To Each, His own... however I'd not consider it solved. The Speedy Pro is a package which comes with a really nice presentation box and some cool goodies. Granted, 99% of us put all that stuff away and never see it again, but you didn't get what you paid for.

In the end, you're being happy with the outcome is what matters. But I'd still be haunting them for the rest of what I paid for.
