I have received this watch from my Father. I know little about it other than the year and that it was partially built in the USA? I have tried looking for prices on Ebay or other watch sites and cannot find this particular one. Could anyone offer me a range that I could be looking at here? Or where I can research that myself? I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you so much for taking the time to look 馃榾

I am unsure, as it was my fathers. I'm just trying to get more info so I can make that decision for now.

I should probably note it works beautifully and has been serviced.

Will be calibre 491. Cased in the USA. Small size . Gold filled case. I'm not convinced, the the word Globemaster should touch the word Automatic .... Unless it is the picture angel.... Value? Because it is from your Father = Priceless.

Appreciate your input, it could be the camera angle but I have seen other similar styles looking the same. Thanks again 馃榾

What you have here is what I call a 2nd generation Globemaster. The 1st generation are the versions otherwise identical to the original Constellations, except without any model name on the dial. Your watch dates from after the copyright agreement with TWA in 1955. These were made up until the very early 1960鈥檚.

As others have stated, it would have an American made gold filled case with a steel back, with a Cal. 491 movement.

Value on these are somewhat less than the 1st generation Constellation/Globemaster, if only due to the quality of the case. It is not close to the Swiss made cases. Best way to determine value is to look for completed auctions of similar watches.

Hope this helps,
