Get the one that looks and feels better. Ti looks and feels different than SS but is it better? I don't think so.

Ti is stronger but by mass not volume, a 1lb block of Ti is about half the size as a 1lb of SS.
Ti scratches and dents easier; it is less dense and slightly less hard than SS
Cost more to mine/cut/polish Ti. It is a terrible conductor of heat and increases the cost to polish and cut.

I think just like 904l it is a marketing gimmick. I doubt you will ever leave a situation saying you were glad your watch was Ti otherwise it would have been disastrous. So, get the one that gives you the biggest smile!

I ended up going with the 39.5mm. I prefer the steel over titanium (look and weight) and I think the 39.5mm is a good size for my wrist. Here are some pics:
