Hi, everyone. It’s been a while since I posted since work has been quite hectic. I walked into my local OB and purchased the 2021 Seamaster 300 in black today. I’ve been eyeing the new novelties since last year when I had the chance to get a look-see at the renders. I was gunning for the bronze-gold model but I was enamored with both the black and blue stainless steel models as well. The first of these pieces came to the US last Friday and I couldn’t wait so I bought the black one first. Without further ado, here are some photos. I’ve also added photos of the other pieces I was able to see when the 2021 Novelties were available for viewing.
Congrats! I’m waiting on a blue on bracelet to arrive at my OB to make a purchase decision. I tried on the black on leather last week. Huge improvement over the outgoing model in almost every way.
Congratulations!!! They are slowly trickling into the US. Not blue ones in yet as far as I know. This one sure is a big improvement over the outgoing model.
Nice! The blue dial and bezel has been executed beautifully and I was really, really tempted. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it.
Thank you. OMEGA allocations to the US have always been… less than desirable but these landed quicker than expected. I definitely like this over the previous gen.
Definitely a lot heftier but it wasn’t so bad since it comes on a very soft leather strap. I didn’t get the chance to weigh them but watch magazines have their specs.
Nice. Looking at the images on the Omega site vs your pictures, I notice that the promotional pictures have the “Seamaster 300” text at the same yellowish color as the lume, but yours looks white (same as the Omega text). Can you confirm it’s white? I actually think that looks better. same question about the bezel markers - are they white and not the yellow? Again, this is different from the catalog pictures (and better looking IMO).
The OMEGA logo and name is silver-white. The Seamaster 300 text is cream-colored. Bezel markers are cream colored as well.
Beautiful watch. Congratulations. How did you take those photos in the OB.I can never take a decent photo due to the OB lighting. Can you share your technique please.
I got the same one last week. Does yours gain about 5 seconds a day like mine? ETA: It seems like it needed a few days to settle in. Its down to +2 seconds per day now.
My pleasure. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you very much. At the OB, there are places with different lighting, so I specifically picked out a place where I had the best lighting -- I go where the couches are so the lighting sucks even more. I also take the photo in RAW format if possible and try to remember the color profile so that I can edit them when I get home. If anything, I might try to bring some lighting next time. You need to take that to Customer Service and get that checked out... that's way too much. Mine gained maybe 0-2 seconds depending on the position I placed it at... Thank you good sir! thank you! The blue one is just gorgeous...
