I agree with slowpoker
Unfortunately you are the one posting misinformation and you don’t back down Because of some kind of internal pride
The facts are clear that goldsmiths, mappin and Webb and watches of Switzerland are the same and people can read my posts and google to see it. Even the web sites are the same * particularly when you get to check out and see the same stock levels. They are just different fascias (retailing term) or trade name (legal term). How many times can one refute this ? It’s so explicitly obvious
All I ask is you stop posting the wrong information and people can make up their own minds

*
“Goldsmiths is a trading name of Watches of Switzerland Company Limited. Registered Office: Aurum House, 2 Elland Road, Braunstone, Leicester, LE3 1TT, Registered in England, Company number 00146087. Registered VAT Number 834 8634 04.”
“Mappin & Webb is a trading name of Watches of Switzerland Company Limited. Registered Office: Aurum House, 2 Elland Road, Braunstone, Leicester, LE3 1TT, Registered in England, Company number 00146087. Registered VAT Number 834 8634 04.
“Watches of Switzerland is a trading name of Watches of Switzerland Company Limited. Registered Office: Aurum House, 2 Elland Road, Braunstone, Leicester, LE3 1TT, Registered in England, Company number 00146087. Registered VAT Number 834 8634 04.”

Thanks for posting the evidence that your statement below is incorrect, you also posted that they have the same stock, but have you ever tried to buy AP, Lange or Patek at Goldsmiths?.

watches of Switzerland is goldsmiths, and so is mappin webb

As I said above which you didn’t read. The Ernest Jones in Canada Water only sells tag heuer as other brands did not work there. If you look at the list of branches in Ernest jones you will see that only a subset sell omega

Similarly the wos/goldsmiths/mall and Webb shop (or whatever you want to call it) sells different brands in different areas with different fascias. They also have boutiques which only sell one brand but don’t even use the wos/goldsmiths/m&w brand

It’s called marketing

I really think you should give it a rest. It’s really just embarrassing now

I think you should be careful of making fun of the way people spell, when the four letters of "ROFL" is too difficult for you to put in the right order.

Indeed, but it looks like my username and it's WUS\American Pie reference is perhaps a little too subtle.

I'm sorry to point out that I didn't read about "Ernest Jones in Canada Water" because you haven't posted anything about that store, but don't let this small fact in the way.

I propose a truce

Particularly since my RIOS strap is looking a little too light blue this morning and I will have to get another one that’s darker navy 🙁

I have fallen in love with the Globemaster. Simple and elegant, and checks all my boxes. Love the date window, and the dial is so clean. I love the single star as a decoration on the face.

Coffee break with my GM – running it on a new ash and cork strap from Ace Jewelers in the Netherlands. Really digging this combo. Ok, back to work...

Tried on the bicolor version whilst picking up my ultraman. Oops. Big mistake.

This Globemaster is extremely nice in the metal. I do find it is hard to do justice to it in pictures, though. Compared with the SS and even the platinum, I’d pick this one. (And I normally don’t even like gold in watches). It’s a bit odd, but clearly on the wishlist now.

I love my blue one, but the white dial is really growing on me 🥰

My only issue with the current offerings in the Globemaster line is that the clean dials are only 39mm. The 41mm models all have the month indicator system with the months written in script between the hour markers and the extra hand to point at it. Gimme the 39mm style but in 41mm and I'm a buyer.

Did you try the 39mm on the wrist? It really wears a lot larger than that due to the height of the case and the slim bezel.

I have a 20cm wrist (!) and the 41mm version is too big for my personal taste.

7 3/4" wrists for me. My 40mm Rolex GMT Master II is just barely big enough for my taste, and some days it falls a little short. ~42mm is my sweet spot. Every 39mm watch I've tried looks like a nickel strapped to my wrist.
