Hi everybody,
This is my first post here, but I’ve been a long-time lurker.

I am into the Globemaster line, and when going through all the reviews available online, I stumbled upon an Annual Calendar version with a black dial (130.53.41.22.01.001 (Sedna Gold), 130.23.41.22.01.001 (bi-color), 130.33.41.22.01.001 (steel)). However, while the watch was advertised on “Fratello” or “A Blog To Watch” with live photos at some point in 2019, I can’t seem to find the watch anywhere now. Upon asking one OB, they could not find the reference numbers in their database, as if the watch did not exist. Does anyone know what happened with this reference and why it isn’t available on the market?

A follow-up question: what do you think of the future of the Globemaster line? It is by no means a hot seller, but this line has been the first to receive the METAS certification but not the Spirate system. Is the line falling from grace?

Yeah, I had the same question at some point. But they've pulled it from the program, as there were issues with the production of the black pie-pan dial unfortunately, because it looked stunning. So, in the end, the watch didn't make it to existence...

Sorry to hear that. I have the white dial, two-tone, non-AC Globemaster on a strap (it's my GADA watch) and love it.

I have heard the reasons why the Aqua Terra line is more popular than the Globemaster, but I dunno - I tried on both and I liked the Globemaster better in the flesh. I saw the pictures you were referencing - they are pretty cool. Have you seen the dark blue dial in person? I think that's a real good look as well.

Agree, blue is the best. And I fully agree with RJ's description of the Globemaster - it is perfectly suited for people who just want one good watch.

To conclude this thread, it is a pity that Omega canceled the black Globemasters, they indeed looked stunning. I gave up hope that they could add them "later" at some uncertain point in the future, given their recent focus on the Seamster and Speedmaster series. Well, I'll sit back and enjoy what is available. I guess this is as close as I can get to a black "Globemaster". But I ain't even mad 😀
