2, A friend while looking after the property as the owners were on holiday ,and didn’t realise the gas fire was not lit & left the gas on , then lit a cigarette .... the friend lived but only after spending three weeks in hospital .
Gas leak is no joke. A few weeks ago a building near my home had a gas leak and blew up. It threw folks out of their bed for miles away. it is a busy building with stores in it. Had it been later in the day or the next day, the building would have been packed. As it happened early in the morning, it blew up after the few folks around were evacuated so there were no injuries

So today the plummer came by with a elderly guy who was in his 70's. Typical Amsterdam construction workers who talk more than fixing things. Conclusion: they will come back a third time and than they will fix it. I called another plummer. Good news is that the sun will return to Amsterdam. This weekend 25 degrees...😁
