Yep. Still waiting on mine, though I do have the eBay steel to hand.

Any rubbing or scratching on the case or between the lugs with the flatlink?
I suppose it will most likely leave some marks as it’s a very close fit. I have a beads of rice too bought with the idea to swap between them but it was such a struggle fitting it I can’t see me taking it off for a while. I’ll just have to accept any marks it leaves. It’s just character 😉

FOIS isn’t doing to well against Snoopy 2. The other quarterfinal stage of Alaska project against Tintin is really close.

The FOIS is my first Omega watch. Bought this week. It’s awesome but I find that the OEM doesn’t have a very high quality plus color.
Will change it to the 1035 Flat Link by Forstner and another leather strap.

Mine is very close to 15k.

Congrats. It’s a wonderful speedy, especially if it’s your first.

mine is one of the early ones and has aged quite nicely.
Almost like a matte leather now. With some darkening around the stitching.

Got mine yesterday and agree with you, it’s great - I did have a speedy Racing Schumacher before and have a few other Omega’s but it’s my first moon watch - the strap is too thin/narrow for my liking though so ordered a Forstner FlatLink and the Wide Komfit Mesh today, should be here tomorrow - will post some pics tomorrow.

I swapped mine onto a Fluco ralley strap pretty much straight away. Great quality and very sturdy, and feels a bit wider and more secure than the OEM, though that might be partly a function of the thickness and colour. Not sure it will patina as nicely, but very happy with it, especially for the 50.00 or so it cost.

I had the same problem with mine. The strap was too short and I didn't like the narrow look. I put the Speedy Racing bracelet, then the Speedy Racing rubber strap with deployant, and now currently have the US 1171 bracelet on mine. I also have the US flat link bracelet but haven't tried that one yet. Out of all of the straps and bracelets I've tried, I think the Speedy Racing rubber strap with deployant is the most comfortable.
