I think this is the highest number posted so far.
Probably close to the final number. Acquired mine directly from Omega, a few weeks before rumours of it being discontinued.

No. 151xx reporting for duty!

Ooh -- you might be the first of the 150xx crop! Congrats, and wear it in excellent health. It's a wonderful watch, in any serial number.

Thanks. Great to have a nice community around the FOIS.

96xx here, purchased new last week.
Surprising that you got such a low edition number brand new. Did you buy it from Omega or an AD? Grey market maybe?

Straight from the Boutique. I specifically asked for the lowest number they could find and they had this.

What was your thinking about getting the lowest number they could find.

I am no expert but surely that tells me that it an earlier manufacture date than say those in the 14 or 15,000 range, which means its possibly been sitting on the shelf for years and the oils inside getting drier therefore it would surely require a service more sooner than the ones made say last year?

Great watch though no matter what number - had mine 2 weeks and wear it more than my Submariner or SeaMasters at the moment...

I would agree with you, but i guess worst case he should be covered with the 5 year warranty.
I would have also rather chosen one of the later production range.

Time for the "FOIS Only" magazine feature?

This thread confirms for me that the FOIS is as beautiful in pictures as it is in real life. No soft-focus or filters required.

Such an underappreciated watch, flying under the radar. Wasn't my first choice tbh. Just stumbled upon it and fell in love. Only thing that bothers me is that there is no official bracelet for it. Ordered the Forstner flat link. Will report back when I have it.

Have you made your way over to this thread?

Tons of info and pix also in the Uncle Seiko thread here. I have the US brushed bracelet and like it a lot. Will also try the Forstner when they're back in stock, and several here have used Omega bracelets with success also.

Yeah, I already saw that, thanks. Indeed, the 1125 looks good. However, I wanted something that blends in with the polished lugs. The bracelet from the 321 looks amazing but won't fit, unfortunately, which is why I went for the Forstner. Also, the 1125 costs around 400€ from my OB, and I found that to be quite steep for a bracelet that wasn't even intended to be for the FOIS.

In case you live in Europe, you can order the Forstner via Ace Jewelers. That's what I did for the polished/brushed version, which is seems to be out of stock from Forstner UK.

I purchased from Forstner.co.uk a couple of weeks ago, I got the flat link brushed version - pic below - i think it looks tremendous and feels fantastic to wear, the only negative comments are 1) when holding the watch with the strap on in your hand it just feels a bit lightweight and a little 'flimsy'; and 2) the clasp is a little fiddly to fasten; but neither of these comments suggest it is poor quality, I love it and it looks great. I also have a custom french leather strap being made for it with a deployment clasp - will see how that looks when it arrives.

No thought process whatsoever haha. The technicians at the Boutique examined the watch before the sale and the 5 year warranty should do me fine.

#146XX purchased at an AD last week. I am really digging the gray suede with white stitching strap. This cell phone photo doesnt do the combo justice.
