2012 First Omega In Space Crown Replacement

Hi: I love my first generation First Omega in Space but the narrow crown (why Omega?) is really annoying. It's hard to get a good purchase on it and my fingers are genuinely sore after winding (and it's not like the crown's use is limited to occasionally setting the hands). In fact, it looks and feels like a non-correct crown for this watch. My question is, where can I find the correct, larger size crown as found on the CK-2998 and while I'm at it, with the vintage Omega logo)? Is the new FOIS crown available from Omega (for order by my AD, which I'm sure is the most expensive route), or is there some other source?

I'd really appreciate any advice,

Mike

Part number is 069STZ012068, but I doubt it would work on the old FOIS...

I use one of these when I find it hard to grip the crown on my Speedmasters:

  • Bergeon No. 31409 Watch winding tool. Works great.

Cheaper than a new crown and the cost for a watchmaker to install it.
