On the back if the strap theres was "NOMOS GLASHUTTE" printed on.
I guess they were originally for Nomos but Holben's added racing puntures on.
Ordered from Holben's.

·I'm sure this has been discussed at some point, but is there any chance the 60th Speedmaster crystal will fit the FOIS? I doubt it as the cases are different, but would love to know for sure.

Nomos straps are great. As are their watches.
If you don't have one I'd seriously recommend you re-consider!

·Checking in with #6991 on a black/gold nato.! My AD ordered one direct from Omega distributor in NY, who said they only had 2 left. Oddly, my watch did not come with the Wally Shirra S.E. box, but Omega did provide one just as large/nice.
Been thinking about replacing the alpha hands with baton style to more closely resemble a 105.003. Somebody talk me out of doing that?

Maybe do it after your warranty expires.

Not exactly sure why but this was the box presented to me. I don't really mind, as I know the model is at the end of it's production, and it's a more than suitable box for storing it.

·I understand it's only a box, but I would want the Wally Schirra box with this watch, especially if buying from an AD. Else a significant additional mark-down.

Only a suspicion based on what I've picked up from other threads, plus the fact that Omega have new models they've been focusing on. Also, I don't see any numbered edition refs above 7000ish for a while now. As I say, happy to be proved wrong.

I would like to order a third party black alligator (embossed leather vs real alligator) strap (non deployant) that is as close in style to the Speedy Pro ref. 311.33.42.30.01.001 strap.
I am not sure if the finish on the Omega strap is matte, semi-matte or shiny. Any comments/recommendations would be welcome. First time on this OF, so I hope I am not out of line with my question/request.

check out this ebay seller, I got couple of his straps, and although these are relative inexpensive, I was very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship..
Here's my FOIS on one of these....you may want to check his inventory as he also carries non-deployant styles.
