I'm close to pulling the trigger on a FOIS, but am a little nervous about finding straps I like that fit the 19mm lugs. Does anyone have experience putting a FOIS on the OEM Omega nylon NATO straps (either this one or this one) that are listed as "19-20mm"? How well do those fit? What about the OEM leather NATO strap? Any pictures would also be much appreciated.

I have both the leather and 5-stripe NATO straps. I don't have a picture on the nylons, but you can see it on the leather in my avatar photo. The leather fits perfectly, since it is 19mm. The nylon is a little tight at the lugs, but not enough that bothers me. If you are overly OCD, though, you'd notice.

I enjoy swapping the straps depending on how I'm wearing the watch -- leather for the office or out on the town, nylon for active (sweaty) activities.

No experience with the OEM or NATO, but picked up the 19mm aged moss strap from HODINKEE. I think it looks phenomenal.

3914 checking in. My first Omega of any sort. My first post on this forum. Got it pre-owned at Deacons Swindon. I' getting a strap made for it by steveostraps. Tried on Speedy Pro's and though I love the look of the watch they just felt a little too big for my 6.5" wist

Someone must have put a display case-back on their FOIS by now. Lets see a pic and comments please. Not thinking of having a display back as a permanent feature myself - just temporary so I can check out the movement while operating the chronograph etc.

I have been thinking of replacing it with a vintage solid caseback or a Thomas Preik display back.

If I go with a solid caseback from a speedy pro/vintage speedmaster does anyone know if I will need any spacers/etc?

Well, since this thread hasn't been bumped for a while, I figured I'd throw up a couple pictures of my FOIS with the 1125 bracelet with the 617 end links. I bought everything through an OB. They didn't have the bracelet in store, but it only took about four days for them to receive it. When I first ordered it, it came with the 560 end links, which I knew would fit, but the technician there wasn't able to make them work for whatever reason. So they ended up ordering the 617 end link and it took about a week and a half for them to be delivered. With a thinner spring bar they were able to make the bracelet fit. I personally love the look of it. Vintage and sporty. Its a little noisy but I think thats part of the charm. I wanted to get some nice patina on the leather strap the watch originally came with, but its going to be hard for me to take the bracelet off anytime soon.

Thanks! The bracelet and end links came out to 500 dollars plus tax.

That's a great investment, and will add a lot to your enjoyment of an already beautiful watch.

As I noted earlier in the thread, that's the strap I chose. Can't recommend it enough. The pin buckle stinks though.

just wish they Omega had put a hessalite on the FOIS. It's so perfect otherwise (in my own little world).
