Trying to study this one , so help me out please ;
- there should not be date on a 165.024 ?
- square date window is a service dial ? so relumed ?
- or complete fake dial as the hour markers are to far away from the edge ?
Bezel looks like a 1969-71 - slim font no serif on 1, flat top 3, as per seamaster300 - what is the fault here ?
And this is how a 166.024 dial should look like.
The knurling on the bezel is too pronounced

Wow! So what to think of eBay authentication?
Wow! So what to think of eBay authentication?
That sucks. This auction is odd, the listing shows that it passed authentication on 7/20/2026. 6 days ago! It looks like they bought it to get authenticated and then flipped it, which is odd (Unless they actually start making counterfeit Ebay authentication card, which would not surprise me). This watch has so many red flags it is hard to believe it actually passed the Ebay authentication process.
Hello,
I’m the seller of the eBay listing discussed here. I have taken the listing down and requested a return and refund from the person who originally sold me the watch after a member of this forum kindly contacted me and informed me that it appeared to be fake.
Hello,
I’m the seller of the eBay listing discussed here. I have taken the listing down and requested a return and refund from the person who originally sold me the watch after a member of this forum kindly contacted me and informed me that it appeared to be fake.
I originally purchased the watch through an eBay auction, and it passed eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee process. After receiving it, I decided that I did not like how it looked or fit, so I listed it for resale at a price that would allow me to recover approximately what I had paid. At the time, I had no reason to believe that the watch was counterfeit.
I have now contacted the original seller and initiated a return. The return page states “Authenticity verified,” but it also notes, “Listing accuracy: minor issue found.” eBay has provided me with a return QR code, so I am proceeding with the return and hope that the refund will be processed without any issues.
I sincerely appreciate the forum member who reached out and brought this to my attention.
