If karma is real, Mercedes has a rough road ahead.
Or this is Karma for the years of Max taking people out...

I'm not thrilled about Miami joining and what this will likely mean for COTA. :/

I doubt COTA gets cut. They want more American viewers.

Agreed. But did they ever overcome their "financial troubles due to COVID".
I remember they laid a bunch of people off and closed for a while when COVID first hit...

I'm personally excited to have a GP in Miami since that is somewhat local to me.
I got excited for the proposed GP in New Jersey / New York back when I was living there...but then that never happened.
But we got a good promo video out of it at least...

It would be nice if we could have a F1 GP out here in California but Laguna Seca, Long Beach and Sonoma are only FIA Grade 2 tracks. The finances probably wouldn’t work either.

A completely different kind of dangerous F1 game - but this is rather sad.

F1 boss shot dead ‘by husband who found her in bed with her mistress.

Nathalie Maillet - CEO of Spa since 2016 and oversaw its modernisation.

Le Mans 2021 has been run. I know it's not F1 but...flashback to "LeMans" 1971

Former F1 driver Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway & Jose Maria Lopez finally got the monkey off of their back and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Hopefully there will be more competition in the Hypercar category as more manufacturers enter next year.

Apparently, 2023 MAY BE an amazing year with manufacturers such as Peugeot, Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, Acura, Toyota (and May be even BMW) would return to Le Mans (in LMDh).
So far I was planning on attending the 2022 edition, but I may have to do a repeat in 2023 if these predictions hold true.

I heart Kamui... One of the best driver to watch when he was in F1. A great driver in any car he is in, its a shame he is not in F1 currently and will most likely never return. Tsunoda is nice, but he isn't Kamui, I miss having the energy of a great and charasmatic Japanese driver in F1.

The Lemans result was very cool. I'm always interested to see what ex-F1 drivers are up to in Endurance!

BTW- What does everyone think about Qatar filling the spot of Australia this year?

I'd rather have the calendar trimmed down and not fill Australia but $$$$. It's going to happen and I'm sure Japan' spot will also be filled too.

It’s funny but I actually was not a fan of Schumacher during his Benetton & Ferrari days as he was just easy to dislike. However, I learned to appreciate him more when he made his less successful return to F1 with Mercedes.

Ironically, it was skiing, not racing in F1, that effectively took Michael Schumacher away from us. 🙁

Glad Lando is fine. Vettel stopping next to him brought back eerie memories of Senna checking on the unconscious Eric Comas (I believe it was?) after a massive shunt, also in Spa in Qualifying.

Vettel might have lost a bit of his edge, but he’s still just a top bloke. Good on him for stopping there.

It was brutal but as with that massive Alonso crash in Australia at least when the car is moving and spinning rapidly after impact that energy is being dissipated while the sudden stop crashes like Jules Bianchi don’t look as dramatic but can have awful outcomes
