That was a great qualifying session for Russell. Rain is a great equalizer on the track.

I'm glad Norris is okay but it sounds like he'll probably need a new chassis & engine and start from the pit lane.

Good people, will you join me in a rain dance at 13:00 GMT tomorrow?

In the post-dance press conference the Team Principal said "We don't know what happened, it worked in the simulator."

Ham has come across a bit cowed in the last few interviews I have watched, I hate the booing and wish it would stop. I think it is worse at the Northern European tracks where Max and Red Bull have a lot of support. I hope it stops soon.

Max on the other hand is full of confidence. He is convinced his car is far superior and it is just a matter of time before the championship swings back his way. I think he maybe right.

It was one of the best qualifying sessions I have seen, on the edge of the seat all the way, I hope the race can deliver half the excitement!

Eau Rouge has caught a lot of drivers out over the years but it is one of the all time great corners in F1, so I hope they don’t try to change it too much to make it safer. New runoffs for 2022 should suffice hopefully. Great run for Russell, a pity about Norris as he could easily have got pole. As for Sunday, it could be like this...

I think the 1998 Belgian GP cemented "Tosser" Rosset's place as one of the worst F1 drivers in history. His attempt at qualifying on Monaco that year was also pretty comical.

The weatherandradar.co.uk radar prediction shows the rain easing in half an hour.

Apparently FIA is targetting this gap to launch the 1h race. If it can start, it will end with 1/2 points only. I cannot see them covering 75% of race distance within an hour

and stopped again. No chance it will restart but because we officially had 2 laps of race (behind SC), it will count as a race and no penalty will be paid...

A few extra laps behind the safetycar would have been nice & great for the public waiting 7 hours in rain & cold at Spa-Franchorchamps !

Mazespin had the fastest lap of the race. That’s 2021 for you. 🤨

Not for me, I don't want to see F1 cars at safety-car speeds. I've done a couple of open-wheel races in the rain and believe me you cannot see a thing. Loss of grip? Pfffft! But you need to see where you're going.

Sometimes a wet race can be great though. I was at Donington in 1993 for all three days -- fully equipped with motorcycle waterproofs (and a motorcycle to get out past the queues). I was standing on the slope above the Old Hairpin with a superb view of Senna scything through the field through the Craner Curves.

Russel gets P2 and Mazispin gets fastest lap.

So that happened lol.
