I don’t really mind that, tyres aside it was more Fernando’s positioning in that first lap that got him most of his places and he does it every race, finds half the guys around him napping and takes advantage of their cluelessness and that’s really their fault, his defending was pretty borderline dirty but that’s also to be expected given he’s in a slower car but has better race craft than nearly everyone on the grid.
No argument from me on that he is one of the best drivers around but how he managed to stay ahead of the faster cars in the latter part of the sprint shows the all but impossibility of F1 cars actually passing each other. I enjoy watching Alonso drive, just a shame he couldn't be in a Red Bull to really show what he could do in a straight battle with the Merc's and Max, now that would be interesting.
What a pos move from Lewis.

What a pos move from Lewis.

Did Red Bull pit Perez from P10 just to take the fastest lap and steal a point
from Lewis? That is diabolical![]()
Are you serious!? Max keeps defending his positions super aggressively, does the same type of move to other (Leclerc, etc). and you call this on Lewis!?
What a joke! Super glad that Lewis decided to step up his game and stop the nonsense from the young arrogant snot.
haha, so the spoilt arrogant old snot causes the young arrogant snot to spin off at one of the fastest corners on the F1 calendar, the old arrogant snot has raced and won on that track many times so knows very well what was going to happen, also he can see what is happening so should have taken steps to avoid the accident.
I’m British through and through but I cannot support Sir Lewis on this one, he caused a major crash, and yet still wins the race, clearly on this occasion the punishment didn’t fit the crime.
With luck the F1 gods will redress this in the weeks ahead and Max will get the points back. I don’t object to Sir Lewis winning but let’s do it fairly.
That’s fine, we can agree to disagree. I am certainly no Lewis fan-boy, believe me, but in this case: what goes around, comes around!
Eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind.
Lewis Hamilton said:Ultimately, when someone destroys your race through an error and it's kind of a tap on the hand really - they're allowed to come back and still finish ahead of that person he took out - it doesn't weigh up. You shouldn't really be able to finish ahead of him if you took him out of the race.
