The solution for qualifying is simple. Oldest goes first. Kimi on pole for every single race.

I don’t really mind that, tyres aside it was more Fernando’s positioning in that first lap that got him most of his places and he does it every race, finds half the guys around him napping and takes advantage of their cluelessness and that’s really their fault, his defending was pretty borderline dirty but that’s also to be expected given he’s in a slower car but has better race craft than nearly everyone on the grid.

No argument from me on that he is one of the best drivers around but how he managed to stay ahead of the faster cars in the latter part of the sprint shows the all but impossibility of F1 cars actually passing each other. I enjoy watching Alonso drive, just a shame he couldn't be in a Red Bull to really show what he could do in a straight battle with the Merc's and Max, now that would be interesting.

Yea I wish he ended up in Bottas’ seat or something but realistically we’re just going to have to hope that Renault/Alpine have a beast of a 2022 car up their sleeve next year on the rule change. Can’t wait to see the first lap in 3 hours, I reckon its going to be pretty awesome especially considering how the tyres are a big unknown and were blistering after a short time in the sprint race.

Very intense, glad nobody got hurt!
Max looked a little dazed walking into the ambulance probably a concussion but yes I’m glad he didn’t suffer any major injury at the moment.

What a pos move from Lewis.
And with Hamilton’s luck he wins the race and almost gets Max points…pun intended. You should not be able to repair your car under red flag conditions if you were the one that caused it. But the rules are the rules. ::facepalm1::

The absolute real question is how did Bottas become such a defeated man? He is truly pathetic and I used to like him.

Are you serious!? Max keeps defending his positions super aggressively, does the same type of move to other (Leclerc, etc). and you call this on Lewis!?

What a joke! Super glad that Lewis decided to step up his game and stop the nonsense from the young arrogant snot.

Did Red Bull pit Perez from P10 just to take the fastest lap and steal a point
from Lewis? That is diabolical::stirthepot::

Glad to see Lewis is back to his old ways. Wonder if he’ll hit Bottas off next.

haha, so the spoilt arrogant old snot causes the young arrogant snot to spin off at one of the fastest corners on the F1 calendar, the old arrogant snot has raced and won on that track many times so knows very well what was going to happen, also he can see what is happening so should have taken steps to avoid the accident.

I’m British through and through but I cannot support Sir Lewis on this one, he caused a major crash, and yet still wins the race, clearly on this occasion the punishment didn’t fit the crime.

With luck the F1 gods will redress this in the weeks ahead and Max will get the points back. I don’t object to Sir Lewis winning but let’s do it fairly.

That’s fine, we can agree to disagree. I am certainly no Lewis fan-boy, believe me, but in this case: what goes around, comes around!

Fully agree with you!!

if you re-read my posts, you will see that I do not condone driving dirty on the race track anywhere, but to go to a place where one would put the responsibility of this race event solely on Lewis, THAT is a step I do not agree with. Max has been driving super aggressively again and again and either his opponents back down to avoid the accident or they are pushed out of the track (Leclerc in 2019).

Today, he didn't benefit from his behavior, and Lewis was lucky to escape unscathed AND to win the race despite the penalty. Good for him.

Left: Charles was closer to the inside than Max.
Right: Lewis missed the apex by quite a margin and even went outside of the track.

So, when I heard Lewis saying Verstappen did not left any room and Leclerc was respectful... I had a good laugh
Webber, Coulthard, Ricciardo, Button all agree it was Lewis' fault on that and they know a few things about racing... Hill slightly changed his mind after the race, from Lewis' fault to racing incident caused by Lewis. And Leclerc and Alonso rated it as racing incident only. But no one except Toto and Lewis said Max was over agressive and was to blame

Lewis Hamilton said:
Ultimately, when someone destroys your race through an error and it's kind of a tap on the hand really - they're allowed to come back and still finish ahead of that person he took out - it doesn't weigh up. You shouldn't really be able to finish ahead of him if you took him out of the race.
