I hope I get to see it in another few months. Congrats to buyer.

Don't forget to overpolish the case... And, yes, add these factory genuine facets while you're at it.
I think that the case looks good, for a -65 EW. Not many EWs retain unpolished cases, so I'd say this is one of the nicest you can find.
I also find the watch very attractive, I wouldn't pay 14k but I would pay a premium for such a nice dial if I believed the barn find story (knowing that some of the value would be lost after "restoration").
I don't understand why so many people seem scuffed by the premiums attached to (seemingly) untouched watches ? 😕
I've been punishedbefore for using the word, but I believe it's a beautiful watch.
I don't like the polished upper side of the case, otherwise it looks very good.
as always..... beauty is in the eye of the beholder.......
Sounds like everyone yielded to their cool off period. Wonder if it'll have a different result when it's relisted since I'm assuming bidder 1 and bidder 2 were the only ones going against each other at the end?
Here's the way to go (not a Speedy, but the seller knows how to sell):

I bought the Ed White from eBay. The winning bidder didn’t pay and I was the second highest bidder. The seller sent me a message on eBay and offered it to me. I said now that the adrenaline serge has gone I wouldn’t be willing to pay what I bid and suggested we talk outside of eBay.
We came to a deal that I think was fair for both of us. I am very excited to get the hands relumed and the movement overhauled! Here are a few photos!
