Another £300-£400 and a nice leather strap and this will look like a very good buy i.m.o.

I hope I get to see it in another few months. Congrats to buyer.

Who said that the luxury goods/ vintage stuff market gonna crash 😗😗. Well some people just like the idea of winning an aunction at the very last seconds even with a premium. Then the restoring process too. Each of his own.

No way to sell that watch..... change the crystal into a generic and scratch it all over. a lot. then offer for the same price as the "BARN" Thingi with free insured shipment and sell that crystal extra as a "BARNCRYSTAL" for $ 325. That`s the way to go, my friend. stay safe. kind regards. achim

Don't forget to overpolish the case... And, yes, add these factory genuine facets while you're at it.

I think that the case looks good, for a -65 EW. Not many EWs retain unpolished cases, so I'd say this is one of the nicest you can find.
I also find the watch very attractive, I wouldn't pay 14k but I would pay a premium for such a nice dial if I believed the barn find story (knowing that some of the value would be lost after "restoration").
I don't understand why so many people seem scuffed by the premiums attached to (seemingly) untouched watches ? 😕

I've been punished :whipped: before for using the word, but I believe it's a beautiful watch.

I don't like the polished upper side of the case, otherwise it looks very good.

as always..... beauty is in the eye of the beholder.......

I just heard that the „buyer“ bailed out of the deal. Watch was offered to the second highest bidder but he declined. I think we can’t see this one as a benchmark and will see it back online very soon.

Sounds like everyone yielded to their cool off period. Wonder if it'll have a different result when it's relisted since I'm assuming bidder 1 and bidder 2 were the only ones going against each other at the end?

Or maybe the buyer just saw @JohnSteed new price on his EW 😁

Hard to see with that crystal, but could it be the extremely rare Seahamster line?

I bought the Ed White from eBay. The winning bidder didn’t pay and I was the second highest bidder. The seller sent me a message on eBay and offered it to me. I said now that the adrenaline serge has gone I wouldn’t be willing to pay what I bid and suggested we talk outside of eBay.
We came to a deal that I think was fair for both of us. I am very excited to get the hands relumed and the movement overhauled! Here are a few photos!
