Ed White bezel swap: yea or nay?

This watch has a pleasing dial excepting some lume loss from a few plots, nice hands, and a mildly polished case. But because the case was spiffed up, the bezel looks a bit incongruent:

So I found another bezel that I thought would be more in keeping with the overall aesthetics of the watch. Not original, but improved, at least to me:

I have no issues with 1st, but 2nd overall prob looks better. However, what you mean "not original"? To the model or not OEM (can't tell)?

Yes; correct for the model (came off the same reference), but not original (wasn’t born with it...).

You don’t know for sure if the one you had on before was born with it, either...

Exactly.

I like ‘em both, so whatever you decide is fine with me. 😜

I think because it's your watch that whatever makes you smile when you look it is the only opinion you really need.
Wear in good health 😀

The old one wasn’t bad at all but the watch is much nicer overall than the original bezel so I’d go for it.

Tough call. Depends on how much the spiffed case draws the eye...I think the old bezel better suits the dial...but spiffed case and spiffed bezel and not-so-spiffed dial (its great by the way, but is clearly not ‘new’) might also bother. Why not try it out and see after a while? I did something similar once and ended up returning the original bezel...and immediately enjoyed the watch more.

what are you planning to do with the watch?
I would feel more comfortable wearing the #1 bezel.
I also prefer a slightly worn look on vintage watches, so my vote would be for #1.

I agree with @watchyouwant, I would keep the first bezel on the wath, its patina better matches the one of the dial (in my opinion).
