I was always curious though, given that the actual Mitsukoshi LE was made in such a small number, how many extra Mitsukoshi panda dials do you think Omega made?

Here are my modded Italian Albino and "Silver Speedy" next to the Mitsukoshi dial and hands. Maybe I will just swap these parts into one of these watches at the next overhaul.

Omega ran out of Mitsukoshi Panda Dials and after much pressure decided to do another production run 15/16th week of 2016 but I don't know how many they made but I've bought over 60.
I've just had some more dials arrive this week and they are from production run earlier 2017 so obviously decided to do another run as there's good demand on the dial and Swatch Group like making money.

So Omega decided to restart production of a limited edition dial which they know people are using to modify standard Speedmasters and that Omega themselves wouldnt then service, with the Mitsukoshi dial fitted, as its no longer the original Speedmaster?
Seems to me that goes against Omega's normal policy but it is one of their best looking dials 👍

They were pressured for a long time to produce some more and then they must see $$signs.
Omega will service customised watches, they won't however change any parts like for like and will only replace with what was original fitted to the watch on production.
This is why I do ALL my custom builds with Brand New Omega 145.0022 service cases c/w brand new Omega 1861cal service movements which have an 8 digit serial number. Omega don't have a problem with these as they were not originally fitted with any type of dial or hands but they have to service due to it being a genuine Omega service case and service movement.

Mine is a 3573.50 sapphire sandwich with FOIS hands for the hours, minutes and running seconds. The chrono second hand is similar to the FOIS but in black (not sure which model it was used originally on). All parts were bought through Otto Frei about over the last four years - before the Omega cracked down. The total cost including the watch, parts and watch service was about $3600.

The sweep second is the original black stick fitted to the Apollo 11 10th Anniversary Rhodium Dial white gold model, the sub sec is the Broad Arrow re addition and the main hour/min from 2998 service stock I think.

I have most hands in stock, recently started stocking the Snoopy Silver Award hands as solid black without the steel bases.

I got the main hour and minute hands a couple of years ago before the 2998 was released thats why I believe them to be from the FOIS.

The hour minute hands are from the Apollo 11 25th Anniversary White Gold model

Not sure about that, the hour/min hands I am using are black.

Can I ask where you are getting the movements from? I've checked the Extranet and movements are not available, and I confirmed this via email yesterday with them...they don't sell fully assembled service movements...

Yes you are correct, Swatch Group no longer supply service cases and movements.
I built up a stock over the last few years before there change of policy.

Cases are readily available, but not movements.

I suppose it depends where you live. In Europe service cases are no longer available to 3rd party suppliers as well as movements.

Yes of course to third party suppliers - all of them were cut off at the end of 2015. I'm referring to those who have parts access directly with Omega.

I didn't know you had access sorry, yes some not all service cases can still be ordered but like many spares with Omega the prices keep going up and up so become uneconomical.

The prices directly from Omega have gone up - there is generally a slight increase most years (maybe 2-3% or so from my experience) and of course prices fluctuate with exchange rates if there is a big shift in either the Swiss Franc or your local currency. However most of the increases you are seeing in the open market are due to those third party resellers jacking up the prices of the parts they have left, and do not originate with Omega.

I won't formally call it profiteering, but you get the idea...
