·Recently became aware of these when one came up for sale locally, any thoughts? my initial research has left me wondering is this a new low for Tissot and by extension the Swatch group?

On the plus side however it is a cheap to market auto chrono and I love the strap.
Even though I have doubts to the reliability and technology of the movement I am still tempted to buy one but it would need to be substantially cheaper ( I see Jomashop has them at a more reasonable rate) than the RRP.
