All the threads have been moved. Seems odd...

Hopefully not, it could just be some technical issues they're having.

So if they had admin privileges does that mean they now have all user names and passwords?

I would just be safe and assume they do, so suggest changing password and dont forget other accounts where you may use the same user name/PW combo.

Assume every forum you belong to has been hacked. Each forum has a unique password, right? :whistling:

also if you can remember your password, it's too easy, ideally use a password manager and a different randomly generated password on every site/service with only one master password to remember which you frequently change.

Yesterday the 12th in the afternoon it was shut down, seems to be working again now, but I did notice some threads I had been following were removed or got lost.

Any half decent forum software package will hash the passwords, hopefully with a salt, preventing a hacker from knowing your password and using it on other sites. If your password is common, however, you're still vulnerable to a dictionary attack. If you use a short and common password, you should change it on all other sites. If your password is long and unlikely to be used by others you're probably fine.

    Hi all,
I really don't understand the difficulty in finding and using one password I mean after all these years I still use 1234 and it works for me perfectly.;);)

Ah so that's why my two posts disappeared. I thought the admin moved it to a more appropriate place.
