Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good start to their weeks. I have happened upon an Omega Cosmic Moonphase dial (refinished, decently) for a cal 381 and reference 2486. I have a cal 2471 with a dial in poor condition (redialled, BADLY) and was looking to make the swap.

My question is if there are differences in the dial feet location and what the difference in dial sizes are? I tried to look for answers but all I could find was the dial size for a 2486 dial is 31mm in diameter.

thanks,

Julian

Regarding the placement of the dial feet I can only assume they are located in the same spot on both dials as either dial attaches to a cal 381.

A 2486 dial is larger that's for sure, the difference in mm I cant say but here's a pic with from left to right a 2471, a 2486 in the middle a 2606 on the right. The difference in size can clearly be seen and although I've never tried it I'm certain the 2486 dial will not fit a 2471 or 2606 case.

Also important to note is the difference in design between the larger 2486 and the smaller 2471 and 2606 dials. A 2486 dial always has the minute track outside of the date track and with a 2471/2606 it is always the date track outside of the minute track.
