It might... But with these thin Apple keyboards being so... Thin... I don't think I'd be able to use the keys!
It's tough getting used to it, but I use the same wrist pad when typing directly on a flat iPad screen. Might be worth a try!

I might stick to the budget option... And just keep taking the watches on bracelets off Andy! 馃榾

It's only the Speedmaster, and Mayol that I struggle with.

Watches on NATOs or straps are fine. 馃榿

Hey, I'm in HR so I'm more concerned about ergonomics than watch comfort! Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is the black lung of our generation (OK maybe that's a stretch 馃榿).

My friend is a vet whose practice is 90 % Dairy cattle and he tends to take his watch off at work but it is not scratches that concern him 馃榿

Man I'm surprised how many people take their watch off to type.

Apple, schmapple. I use a wrist rest in front of my IBM Model M from 1988. You can see it here in the background from when I was opening my Zenith Surf Defy from @Darlinboy (who did a great job labeling the tape!!!).

I leave it on, but I'm typically wearing long sleeves and my watch is usually under the cuff. When I had a SMPc the clasp and the 12 o'clock endlink got a ton of desk diving marks. Damn Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint...

How do I handle typing all day? It's kind of a drag really, but that's how I pay for the watches so I power through.

Montblanc cufflinks come in this brilliant little square box; I find that their adequate padding makes for a very nice 'safe zone' when diving into the dreaded depths of Desk Work.

No dings or scratches, however on occasion my eyes would flit across to check in on them...and then I'll lose all track of time as I sink into a stupor of admiration. 馃槣

I've never worried about taking a watch off while at the desk.

I've never even thought about it until I spotted this thread.

While reading through, I notice that I only rest the heel of my palm on the edge of the desk, so contact isn't an issue.

I can see how the bubble wrap either on the watch or under the keyboard might help, but doesn't that get expensive once all the bubbles are popped? Is there a problem tape glue residue to deal with? What about unwanted reations to that "popping" noise from co-workers?

I can't see a johnson solution being viable either, as checking the time would probably lead to a sexual harrasment charge in most office environments.

Perhaps fingerless mittens would be a practical solution in all those cases - covers the watch, protects the bubble wrap and still allows acces to johnsons at the apropraie time.

I put my watch on my Johnson while at the keyboard to avoid marks.
I'd do the same, but I'd need more bracelet links. ::psy::

But seriously, it's a personal preference that I not have stuff on my wrists typing or cycling. More comfortable that way.

That said, I have an open watch box in front of my keyboard with 3 watches, so I don't even need to put a watch on.

Not that this is going to be a contest but when I went to the bathroom this morning, I looked down and saw...

And on another note with risk of hijacking this threat: what about cuffs?
They usually are far away from the bracelet, but with some shirts....

Only wear leader straps when wearing cuffs?

He did not care, but why should he, he is sponsored..

And two other blokes hanging around at the end, casual like.

Damn you, damn all of you 馃槨
