Desk divers: How do you handle typing all day?

I usually take my watch off when typing. My girlfriend does not. When she does, it's because she cares more about her laptop than her watch. 馃え
To save both I bought her one of these. It's a pity it only works when the sun is shining. ( image borrowed from NOMOS )

Man I'm surprised how many people take their watch off to type.

While I understand the sentiment, I will say that although it's not from typing, I can see the effects of using a watch at a desk on the bracelet sometimes. If the person is right handed and wears the watch on the left wrist, the links on the 12 o'clock side will often be worn much more than on the 6 o'clock side. If they are worn on the 6 o'clock side, I can tell the owner is likely a lefty, or at least wears the watch in the right wrist for whatever reason.

Sometimes on a Bond bracelet, the wear can be very noticeable...

Cheers, Al

It was intended as a joke. Just don't lose your watch when you take it off!

I'm curious if you desk divers who work with keyboards all day.. do you take off your watch while you type, and set it down on the table?

Or are we all just leaving it on our wrist?

My watches do not leave my wrist until I change to a different watch. They stay on 24/7/365.

I'm in the same boat, only reason a watch comes off is to change watches, or a shower if I'm not wearing a beater/ diver.

I think a head and if I know I will be desk diving or changing my cars breaks / rotors il slap on the beater and don't care what happens.

This makes me curious, how many of you sleep with your watches on? And do you have any rules to what watches you will wear while sleeping?

Oh, yeah...I forgot about the part where co-workers dish out some fairly heavy heckling regarding the appearance of the nylon/velcro Rothco Commando protective band. 馃憥
