I'm also a big James Caan fan, so was hoping Scott Caan would be better in this...

It's been a number of years since I watched Hawaii 5-0 but I recall rather liking his work in the first season or two

There are just two things I like about the new Magnum PI. The GMT Master BLRO (old school) and Perdita Weeks.

I'm glad they got a 488 Spider and didn't take the easy/cheap route and use a California as the car. There's a good amount of attention to detail in the show that way

Indeed. The show is a formulaic train wreck, but Perdita is refreshingly different.

"formulaic train wreck" is a perfect description! I stopped punishing myself after a few episodes.

Just did this in a movie last night! Drives me crazy when I can’t get a clear enough still shot on it

Definitely not crazy. Same thing here. I’d add that George Clooney wore a modern Lecoultre in a movie ... he lost it in a poker game, I think.

Still crazy...just not lately...but here are 4 watches in a row from the same movie scene, one after another when they are coordinating their watches for the big parade at the end.

So it's been way too long since I've seen Animal House, but is there a point to the last watch being almost 6 hours off from the others? Also what is that second one? Love the numerals.

Yeah no idea what the second one is, I agree It does look cool.

The last watch being 6 hours off I think was the sight gag of the scene. Those guys weren't the brightest bulbs....haha

This is what I do when I see a watch in a movie. I've got a collection of these images now, and my wife (bless her heart) tolerates me stopping the movie immediately and capturing the best frame for a photo.

Nutty, right?

Hahahah, I do this all the time, movies, restaurants, buses...so what movie was the gmt from?

I’ve been watching Doctor Foster on Netflix and pausing it at least once an episode to try to figure out what watch she is wearing. My wife just rolls her eyes for the most part.

Does anyone know? I can try to get some screenshots to post.

You guys are crazy (in a good way)! I've never stopped a movie to look at a watch, though I did stop one episode of 'The X-Files" because of the signage in the background:

Well that is definitely a campaign slogan that hasn't aged well. 😁

Just rewatched this recently and didn't notice the Speedmaster at all. Maybe it needs another rewatch. Such a good movie. Feels pretty "Lovecraftian" to me.

It’s right at the start when you see all the junk floating around in the ship’s tunnel, you can hear it ticking as it floats past, but blink and you’ll miss it.
