If you are looking for a watch that will look great 20-30 years from now you need to go with the Speedy. Like the Rolex Submariner, I think the world will end before those watches look out of place.

The green Seamaster is a nice watch--if you love the color green. If not, it is not. Personally, I don't like green watches so it would be a hard no from me. As others have said, I think the green Seamaster is a trendy color that is not going to stand the test of time.

Are you sure?

Won't bet my house and it varies from countries but it's not an Hulk Rolex. These current SMP are getting sticky for some who doesn't wants to cut prices down. If the next one is thin and 41mm, have fun with this one but to loose money.

If the prices goes up in future, my bad, but I would be amazed.

I remember reading your thread on this, @McBeardy. As you know, I love both and don't think you can go wrong with either. My green Seamaster gets a ton of wrist time, but for what it is worth, if I had to pick between the two, I still would give the edge to the timeless Speedmaster (and as you know, I'm chomping at the bit for the white one).

I know @Jemagloh I often see your SeaweedMaster on THF. I blame me wanting to the Monaco too much when I should’ve kept the Speedy.

if I didn’t have the BB58 maybe the Seaweed would be the one. But I think you’re correct and as many others had said (especially the reason that this will be my sons) the Speedy will stand the test of time.

The Seaweed is great & works so well at changing colours, looks a fun summer watch but I do think in a few years I’d be like, why!
