Constellation dials: 'domed' or 'pie pan' or 'intermediate'?

the cross hair only goes to the central plane edge = pie pan.
Where else should it go, there are the arrow head markers...??
I believe all the way its pie pan because this old ref.
Is the center pigmented by aging or intentionally as art?

Unfortunate degradation, not art.

The crosshairs on a dome dial will go all the way to the edges regardless of the type of indices, including numerals.

It's still unbelievable for me, that this dial of a 168.0065, sold here in 2021, should be really flat and the piepan look only faked by the painting.
I still hope, someone shows a good photo of the dial back to confirm either.

I own one of these and it is true. The dial is flat, the “pie-pan” effect is caused by different brushed finishes on the dial separated by a twelve-sided register.

If you put it side by side with a Ref. 168.005 the differences are obvious.

Thanks @gatorcpa, but how could they brush these sharp edges?
I am a mechanical engineer and do not imagine how!
Printed or stamped by tampon or anodized or lasered yes, but brushed?

Center part is sunburst finish, pie-pan is not sunburst, more like circular. There is a slight edge there, so not totally flat. It is much flatter than traditional pie-pans on prior Constellations.

The watch is smaller and thinner than the older models as well.
