Another one I’ll need to pass on to free up funds for an arrival. A classic 60s dogleg Constellation, one of the later 168.005s with a cal. 564 (date quickset).

The Watch

Omega Constellation Automatic
Reference: 168.005
Movement: cal. 564 Chronometer certified
Serial: 28959707
Year: 1969
Case: ~34.5mm, stainless steel, dogleg lugs
Dial: original, pie-pan dial, non-luminous with black painted markers
Strap: Dark brown leather strap, brand-new, alternatives available

Condition

Used, yet attractive, retaining it’s original shape and character.

Dial & Hands: Completely original pie-pan dial with a white/champagne colored sunburst finish. All the text is fully there, 3 lines of text as would be expected from a late 168.005. Stainless steel furniture, non-luminous configuration with black painted indices and hand inserts. I can’t find any deterioration on indices or hands. Some light spotting of the clear coat on the dial, as so many of these show, visibility depends mostly on angle. It’s rarely ever visible on the wrist, but it’s there – I tried to take a picture that depicts the flaws as best as possible.

Case: Original 34.5mm stainless steel case. I’m sure it’s seen a polish a long time ago, but retains the signature dogleg-lugs with their pronounced edges. Some small scratches/tiny dings all around, nothing major though. The medallion is also very pronounced.

Crown: Original Omega crown, correct thin decagonal for the reference. Not a flat foot logo, so it’s a service item.

Crystal: Generic plexi in good shape.

Movement: Original cal. 564 automatic, which means it has a proper date quickset function by pulling on the crown. It’s been serviced for ~260€ in July this year, the receipt will be sent along with the watch to the new owner, of course. The circle on the rotor indicates that it has been serviced before. The watchmaker gives a 1-year warranty on the job, so it’ll be valid until July 28th 2023.

Strap: Pictures were taken with a brand-new, dark brown Eulit leather strap. It works with almost anything, if you don’t like it let me know and I might be able to offer some alternatives.

Seller Reviews

Plenty reviews available here, but either my username is too short to use the search function for that or I’m not handling the forum software eloquently enough, which is entirely possible. Anyway:

A nice example from one of OF's best members/sellers. I predict that this one won't last long.

Thanks! 😀
There‘s onyx indices, black rubber and black paint. Although, admittedly, it’s not like you’d notice a difference with the bare eye.

Watch is OHPF now, thanks for all the messages and thanks @OF for the space!
