Yes people buy items and later unload them for a great deal less because they dont wont them anymore. This person says on his website he bought it straight from omega and now hes selling it. It still has plastic on it or in other words it's new (he says its new) doesnt make sense to sell it at a great loss. Now he has multiple of them... also seems sketchy. Personally I'd stay away. Just splurge and buy new.

I love it when someone asks for advice, then argues with everyone who gives them advice different than what they want to hear.

I am 100% sure the clasp is fake. No one is selling multiple authentic brand new Omega deployants for $85. The Seller on EBay also has them gold-plated which is a dead giveaway these are fake. Omega doesn’t make gold-plated deployants.

Nobody was arguing at all, nobody could say with certainty that it was fake or not. smh
We got into a big dialog on the different finishes and different styles.
I haven’t seen this seller on ebay selling gold plated ones, but if you’ve seen this seller marketing them then okay that’d be a bad sign.

In my first post I was implying that it was 98.1% probably fake A.F.

I just found his ebay account. Based out of India...... India is not know for fake watches at all so I would definitely trust this seller. 😗😗😗

Also based on his other items I would like to change my answer from 98.1 to 99.99999999999%

I have never seen a genuine watch on eBay from India. Their Seikos are legendary.

Show me anyone selling **brand new, Omega OEM deployant clasps** for $80 and I'll show you someone selling fakes all day long.

It could be more productive to spend your time looking for Unicorns rather than genuine Omega clasps priced at $85

Don’t know if this helps but here’s a real one to compare.
How much did you pay?.......... 85 dollars 😁

One doesn't look for an original clasp for $85, if your lucky, you find someone getting rid of one for $85, big difference. When I found my original bracelet for $200 vs $800, I certainly wasn't looking for it that cheap. When I found my original alligator band for $85 vs $700, I wasn't looking for one that cheap, I got lucky and found people looking to rid themselves of these items. I thanked y'all for your feedback and decided to move on based on that, you can quit beating a dead horse now, thank you.

@03Hemi here an apples to apples comparison
Thank you for the comparison, that's originally what I was looking for is a apple to apple comparison, but you and a few others convinced me with the info about crap coming out of India. I appreciate your tenacity indeed, it has saved me $80, thanks.

Now it's time to have a little fun with this thief on ebay.
I had emailed through ebay to inquire about it's authenticity, which he replied back was indeed genuine.
So I replied back about the authenticity of the gold plated ones and am awaiting his response.
When he lies to me again, I'll bust him on it. I'm going to ebay to report him as an unscrupulous dealer and see if I can "rattle" his tree a bit.
Not sure if ebay has a section for reporting dishonest people caught red-handed or not, but it'll be worth the try.
To be cont...

No problem, I bought one from eBay a few years back and it turned out to be a very convincing fake, never did get my money back. After that experience I decided to pay up and purchase one from my local Omega boutique here in the UK. It was £170.

Perhaps @yinzerniner can chime in..
The pics look to be real but the listings were fake AF. Two different sellers, same location and same pics. Pics stolen from a reputable shop. The B.S. meter should have gone plaid with how brazen the scam seller was on these clasps.
