Total of 3 CK2998 LEs have been alloted to the OB in my city with 12 customers on the waiting list ( me 2nd ) & the 1st batch is expected to arrive in Nov. I havent made a decision yet .No discounts on LEs & retails for US 5263 ( Malaysian Ringgit 22K )
Oh boy! If you get that kind of pricing in your country, I should book a trip just to pick up some watches 馃憤

I wonder why it appears so large to me in many of these photos.

Dark bezel with bright dial makes it look larger than it is. Same happens with new SS ceramic Daytona with white dial.

My thoughts exactly Sir. Since i'm familiar with the standard German Dive watches , the CK2998 does appear a tad smaller on my wrist when i tried on the regular version & the gorgeous Gold Panda (that's ~USD 13.2 K in Msia ) as oppose to say...the GM dial which is deceptively larger than the 39mm suggest 6e961b9df26a5e17a53bc5dcd988f50b.jpg
That's Ariel Adams' left wrist shot & i have superimposed both the CK2998 & the GM after readjusting & recalibrating his wrist size. Can you appreciate the subtle differences between the 39mm vs 39.7mm ?

Looks pretty normal to me. You're sure it's photoshopped? My daily wear watch look just like that on my wrist--but it's a bit out of sync with the space-time-continuum. I should probably have it serviced to fix that.

Just poking some fun at the image--for a second there I thought something was wrong with my monitor (that or someone laced my water with acid).

Certainly a good size comparison.

Thank you for that very detailed response, ma'am.

Hi @Lapanouse[emoji137]

Oh Heck ! I'll use my imagination Sir[emoji41] fc91c06990248cbec97a1c883d659ac3.jpg I'll use Doc Brown's DeLorean Time Machine, Go back to Baselworld 2015 , grab the GM , hit the gas at 88mph & travel forwards to BaselWorld 2016 , place the GM & CK2998 LE side by side so that you can judge both models ! How 'bout that Sir.... [emoji6] ? fd73cdba96946e25ecbc10f41c64e977.jpg

I was sincere. Your photo study was much more than I expected. It must be an optical illusion.

Was at the OB in Houston this week asking about the CK2998. I asked to see it, and they brought out the catalogue...=/

Wait time is minimum of 2 months, and they are requesting deposits for the CK2998. I asked where I would be in line, and they said 4. With a limited run (as opposed to the FOIS, which is a numbered run) this will probably hold value, at least against inflation.

BTW long time lurker, recently joined so first post...love this forum!

i actually lucked out on one of these, my salesman at the OB in Miami called to tell me someone dropped out from buying theirs and if I was interested...initially I wasn't but I couldn't stop thinking about it over a weekend and called him Monday morning to scoop it up! Looks really great with the NATO strap Omega released for the olympics, I'm in love 馃榾

Mexico is also a great place to buy Omega watches. You get them for around 30% less than in the US at the AD麓s.
For example the SMPc 300 is priced at $62,000 if you pay cash which is around $3,100 USD. The Bond AT is priced around $100,000 cash which is around $5,000 USD compared to $7,350 in the US.
You can get close to this prices on Gray Market but buying at the AD麓s always makes you feel something special.

Beaty! Beauty! Beauty! Do you feel the watch heavy for the strap?
I find the original leather strap a bit disproportionate for size and weight of the watch. Most of people looks like also got rid of it. I will likely go for the metal bracelet of the Racing Speedmaster.

Is this an official omega NATO strap? The omega logo is on the metal. This looks really nice.
