It seems like. No matter what % of discount I can get at the AD, it's still not a good buy since we all expected the price to fall after the market is saturated. That's what everyone is saying, right?

Thanks all. I will wait then!!!

I will go back there this weekend, maybe if they give me 20% off I may take it.

Logically, it's a losing battle sounds like. (confused lol ) Thanks all.

@Ree, Thank you so much for your words of advice. I will determine my final decision at the AD to see how it fit and feels in person again. Will ask them for 20% off, which don't think it will happen but not going to hurt to ask. And you are correct, if i missed I might just get it next year and also spent less money buying a used Planet Ocean!. Win-Win maybe.

You guys rock! Appreciate all the comments
Get the watch for the aesthetics and the historical link. In general buying any watch as an investment is a bad idea.

buy what you love and enjoy it as such. speculate with real estate or stocks, don't do it with luxury items!

Blue/white sripped Nato on this watch is killer.

Also love the SM with Bond Nato.
This one will probably be my next one.

I absolutely love this watch. So much so that I actually bought 2 simply because I came across 2 different shops that had them in stock. Shameless plug - I'm selling one of them if anyone is on the hunt, shoot me a PM.

As for wearability, size is perfect, and i love the pop of the blue subdials with the original strap in the sunlight.

I also love the pop of someone unknown on this forum and who - as his first post - is offering one for sale because he bought two.
Good sense would have been to cancel reservation in shop #2...

I don't use to troll and didn't mean to offense. But either coming from a long time lurker or not, first message ever posted being a sale ad does not inspire confidence and looks like a spam. It's seen as a way to get around the 10麓s posts limitation to post in the sales section.

Sorry I bothered you. I've been a lurker here a while and more active on WUS and TRF. it wasn't until more recently that the Speedys caught my attention.

I read through the entire thread and saw that there were a few folks having trouble trying to get one. If that offends you in any way, please disregard my post and continue trolling elsewhere.
So in all this time lurking, you've never come across the numerous posts and threads about the minimum post count for a sales listing? And when pointed out, you accuse the guy of being a troll? Very rude. Way to make friends as a new member.

Although I think most people here like to be friendly, newcomers not on our wavelength do need to be 'told'. This is the second recent example of someone posting stuff focused on the 'making money' aspect and not providing any value in terms of knowledge/insight. I think it's important to maintain a 'standard' here that results in a feeling that information can be relied upon and purchases made with confidence in the bona-fides of the Forum-member sellers.

I didn't mean to be rude with - or to give a lesson to - X JBM X - or anyone else. I'm too humble for this.

But trying to sell as first post is usually not well seen on almost any forum in the world ans is considered as spam. If it wasn't me, someone else would certainly have pointed it. Maybe i shouldn't have been ironic on the firstnplace ...

X JBM X seemed to understand my point and i'm sure he's a honest guy. I also understand he wants to help someone who didn't get a chance to get a CK2998 yet.

End of the story for me and hopefully for him.
I'm not chasing witches here and no one else should keep arguing this welcome new member.

(Ans sorry for my Frenglish)

thanks.

Again, my apologies for the rude and/or inappropriate first post on OF.

I have a pretty substantial presence across many other forums, and my reputation is more important to me than a classifieds plug, hence why I've removed all previous posts.

Sorry for any grief this morning's conversation may have caused.

Picked one up in coffin at KaDeWe in Berlin today. No discount, got a pen and wallet with it ;-).
They have another one in the window if someone is looking...
