·Watches purchased new don't hold value. Sure there are rare exceptions, but not the CK2998.
I see the current Ebay auction now standing at 4,928 GBP's, with time to go.

Even with the commissions that Ebay ask, it seems to hold value.
Again, this may be an Exchange rate phenomena when comparing the CK2998 purchased in the UK GBP's versus the US $. A benefit maybe afforded by Brexit.
But, generally I would have agreed. New watches rarely hold value at the offset.

Interesting. I will go to AD this weekend with this Info and see if I can get more than 10% off.

This in fact shows me the opposite, that the watch is retaining value well. This discount is less than what I can get for the vaunted Rolex BLNR.

·My OB gave me a big discount on an X-33 this spring, but would not budge from MSRP on my CK-2998. I haven't heard of any OB in the US discounting these.

·Total of 3 CK2998 LEs have been alloted to the OB in my city with 12 customers on the waiting list ( me 2nd ) & the 1st batch is expected to arrive in Nov. I havent made a decision yet .No discounts on LEs & retails for US 5263 ( Malaysian Ringgit 22K )

·If you are in love with the watch buy it, if you are not sure you can just wait, check the forums and look for a used or vintage watch that you really like and as you are buying second hand you will not lost value if you make your homework and buy a good watch from a trusted seller.

Buy it if u like it. For a few hundred dollars your depriving yourself of the pleasure of wearing a sweet watch (which I have).

·It's a decent buy considering that it;s coming from a main dealer - and I'm pretty certain it'll not depreciate as fast as your TAG.
