Last time I looked, you need us more than we need you.
We are the buyers.

Yes @Geometer, we are very much THE BUYERS.

In fact, I was THE buyer for the last (genuine) black base 1000 bezel sold on EBay last week. In case you don't remember what a genuine 55 year old black base 1000 bezel looks likes, from a reputable seller, here are some photos 😀

I think you should reserve those feelings for the winner of your auction

@Geometer,

Two questions that would help me out here - that are still unanswered - are:

Have you ever made reproduction bezels?

Were you clear and open about whether they were reproductions or not?

I have bought black inserts from Watchco several years ago.
They were certainly sold as Omega parts.

According to Ofrei, an authorized Omega parts supply house:

Omega only Supplies Complete Bezels!
We have no bezel inserts available for Omega Watch Bezels

Glad your still here.

Mate, come in, and play nice.

We all love watches. We all like learning.

Why don't you answer our concerns regarding your history with repro bezels?

I love that Geometer came to defend his sale.... That said I really find no reason for not answering the question at play unless the answer may weight against him. Which is sad.

You buy the seller... and in this case, I am most definitely _not_ buying.

A note about us was added along with a parts photo. But it's the photo that shows no detail rather than the one that we attempted to match.

There is not the TINIEST difference, other than wear, between the two bezels below (current eBay auction on top, timezone pic on the bottom). The implication for me is that if the eBay bezel is fake, it's so good that no one will ever be able to prove it's fake, so case closed.

There is a huge difference between the pristine eBay bezel and the bezel in the seller's 2915-3 parts photo. I'm unaware of how one can remove decades of wear from a bezel and make it look Ike it's NOS.

There is however, virtually no difference between the this EBay bezel and the same seller's manufactured bezel inserts.

The fact that the seller has a history of selling copies and is still selling his copies is amble proof that any buyer should need that this black base 1000 bezel is a fake.

One more tidbit of info. Try and look up his June/July eBay insert listings. I did and miraculously they appeared to have been removed. Certainly a good time to move this bezel when the inserts are no longer searchable in EBay. Glad I saved a photo of it.

What more proof do you need. I believe the legal term is a preponderance of the evidence. To me it is all leaning in one direction. Toward Deception and Fraud.

What about the "9"
The 9s are different. In addition, the dot is closer to the 9 on the new bezel, while it's farther on the old bezel.

I think clearer pictures of the seller's old bezel would likely only prove they are not the same bezel.
