The glossy nature of ceramic as well as the brighter white lettering makes the bezel really pop and modernized. The additional lume looks cool too, supplements especially well on models with applied markers (and hence less lume).

Mine says hi.
Love it. Really makes the Blanco pop!

I like it. If I still had my SS, I'd probably go for it, as the price seems very reasonable (although it's probably made in China, which I try to avoid).

It looks great on the white speedy as well, which I should probably buy simply because I don't have a white watch...

Could be cool for decimal and minute bezels, too!

Really like the lume shot, can you post a couple more pics in regular light to see what the bezel looks like? Have a White Dial Speedie and think it might be worth doing the modification since it would work great with the dial and markers, but would like to see a few other pics prior to grabbing one and having it installed (I wouldn't want to screw it up) Here's mine on my recent Alaskan cruise.

I can help you out, 2 members on a local watch forum posted this:

Here's one under natural sunlight

For comparison, here's white on ceramic bezel against black on aluminum bezel. As you can see, the ceramic bezel certainly pops more with its glossy surface plus the more crisp lettering

Gotta admit, especially with the White Dial, it's really looks great. Compliments the black hands, applied markers, and seems to complete the watch. Much appreciated with the pics which helped in making my wallet a little lighter 😉

I do not understand why you pimp up the 3861. It's ruin the watch..

Granted haven't received it yet but personally don't see it ruining the watch. It's adding a modern feel with the ceramic bezel to a watch made in 2024. The applied hour markers are highly polished which pops against the white dial. The current aluminum bezel seems dull when actually wearing it for long time periods. Could be wrong once installed, but will see how it goes.

Would I add this bezel to my Straight Writing - 69 Speedie? Of course not, because it's doesn't fit the time period or look of the watch.

Edit: This is an aftermarket part, and I’m not sponsored by the supplier. Just sharing the love.

Was a bit tricky to get off original bezel. Orientated watch dial down, then used a solid piece of plastic with a 5mm wide edge, and used light taps from a hammer to ease it off.

Also took a while to get the alignment just right. Tip: carefully position the new bezel, put some cling wrap over the top to prevent it from shifting, take a photo and mark up the photo with a straight line to check alignment.

Make sure the original gasket is removed first (it’s white). The new bezel wasn’t going on until I realised the original gasket was still there after taking off the original bezel.

Got the ceramic bezel from Spiralwinder. Comes preinstalled with a gasket.

Love the premium look of the black ceramic, the lumed Tachy scale markers are more legible and pop more in white, and the biggest benefit is not having to worry about the black chipping off or fading over time, which is what happened to the bezel on my previous 1861 speedy.

That looks awesome but I wouldn't have the balls to do it to one of mine.

I would agree if it wasn't easily reversible. But since it is I think its a really lovely upgrade.

My thoughts exactly. Currently at the watchmaker getting installed. Figure it's easy with the correct tools and they'll be able to get it done quicker than me trying the DIY method and the chance of bending the original or new bezel. Should be getting it back soon.

Hopefully, this is not off-topic. Is it possible to obtain other bezels from Omega or aftermarket as of September 2024? LewisWatchCo is not available, and Spiralwinder only makes Tachymetre. I would gladly get something else; a decimal bezel would be nice.

For what model specifically? For the latest Speedmaster models with the 3861, it appears that only the tachymetre bezel is available. For the previous Cal. 1861 Speedmasters, there are a variety of bezels available from Omega...pulsometer, telemetre, decimal...

Thanks Archer, would it be possible to get the part numbers for the pulsometer and decimal for the 1861-generation? So I can walk into a boutique and order it 😀

They will not fit on a 3861 watch...just so you know...

Not sure an OB will sell you case parts just like that - most likely they would want to install it as well.

IMHO makes sense on speedmaster sapphire models; not on the hesalite moonwatch.
