Welp, I couldn't help myself. Overall, its a nice mod, easily reversible, the quality is good, the writing/numbering is noticeably whiter so it uplifts the watch a bit, and the ceramic looks cleaner, lume brightness was ok nothing special. Was worried might not fit the 50th Ann as it uses a different movement (3201 FP vs 1861) and the watch itself is significantly thinner than the 1861, but thankfully it all worked out.

Bezel removal using the tool they provided was quite easy, install I couldn't do it by hand, had to use the crystal press tool. Aligning the bezel took a couple of tries removing and reinstalling. Overall I would say it was easy to do if you have basic DIY skills.

its my favorite speedy in my collection, released in 2007 as a 50th ann since the release of the speedmaster in 1957, has an enamel dial, column wheel frederic piguet co-axial movement, thinner than sapphire 3861, 100m WR. Wasnt a huge fan of the original bracelet so I installed the Apollo 50th bracelet and now its perfect.

This video explains it best,

The last bracelet of the 1861 was a joke. The new one is much better. Also I think that the moonwatch certified by metas is one step ahead.

What size is your wrist? Mine is rather small 16-16.25 cm and would love to wear a Speedy but worried that the 42 mm dial and height and lug-to-lug would be too much wrist presence.

my wrist is 6.75 inches. Its not just the size of your wrist that determines how a watch wears, its the wrist shape as well, eg round, oval or flat top wrist etc. Speedmasters especially the latest model sapphire 3861 tend to wear smaller than the 42mm size suggests because of the asymmetrical case.

only way to know is to try one.
