.....and I am sorry if I offended you by suggesting you accept the refund while you pursue other actions to cover your bases.

But if he accepts the refund, he won't be able to complain that the store still has his money! 馃檮馃う

I'm going to give the same advice to the OP as I usually do when these rant threads occur.....

Shit happens, and this time shit happened to you. You can rant, rave, jump up & down and stomp all over watch forums shouting your story from your pulpit, but in the end that doesn't do a DAM thing for you (I love puns) except keep you riled up. The quicker you take one of the options offered to end the situation, the quicker you move on. Life's too short for extended righteous indignation. You aren't fighting the good fight, you're only keeping yourself irritated.

Seriously, who calls the friggin FBI over shit like this?

Kind of what I was thinking, the problem you've now got is once you get either watch back you'll be so pissed off about it all that you'll not enjoy wearing it anymore as it'll dredge up bad memories. If it were me I'd be taking the refund and moving on to get the negativity out of my life and help forget about it, maybe buy a different watch later on.

Ah, my dear Zeno, your latest arrow is wide of the mark! I neither stated nor implied you were ambiguous, but merely that your skill reminded me of an old friend! Far from offended, I was amused and nostalgic. Please accept my least sincere, most ambiguous .... 馃槈

Well, you assume the refund is a good faith offer....

I've never imputed anything to an inanimate object and never will.

But, your advice on negativity is well-taken.

Thanks for your comments.

Lots of folks do, PARTICULARLY when the U.S. Attorney refers you, and gives you the agents' names and phone numbers, advising they are the most skilled at investigating mail and wire fraud.

Apparently, it occurs in that area enough that the U.S. Attorney is ready and waiting.

But, hey, what would he know?

Years ago, I ordered a BMW 2002 Tii, a very special model. The dealer called months later and said it was the last one in the U.S., and on a ship in Houston, but BMW sold it to another dealer. Before the currency of cute little terms like rant, I made BMW squeal like a pig, and ultimately took delivery of the car. I wasn't sophisticated enough to understand I wouldn't enjoy the car and drove it for a dozen years.

But, your advice on negativity is well-taken.

I see what I missed here. I apologize because you did make clear that you just wanted to warn us, not look for advice or comments or opinions.

Had I just paid attention...

Indeed, when I staggered off the boat, had I just paid attention!

Next time buy from the AD onboard the ship, assuming that's not what you did here. The Celebrity cruise we went on last year an Omega and a Breitlong AD onboard.
Oh wow, must be a US-based ship thing. Celebrity Solstice (departs from Sydney to various South Pacific islands) had only Breitling, Invicta, and stuff that was actually worse than Invicta.

Why let the suckers spend their dough in port, like me? Yes, Omega was on the ship, but the AT I wanted was not.
