I'm thinking about making an offer on this seamaster cosmic. Since I'm new to buying watches, I have no idea what would be a reasonable price. The crown is not original and there are some slight scratches on the chrystal and dial. Service history is unknown and there are no movement pictures. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the sold listings on eBay.

It's in really poor condition, polished case, unattractive stained dial and the bracelet is short and does not have correct end links.

Even with the extender seller says "Omega “Beads of Rice” bracelet fits up to approx. 7.25” wrist. No additional links".

I would save my money and wait for a nicer one, these are not rare so nice once come up regularly.

Help yourself learning a little bit more about vintage watches and come here and ask just like you did now.

You'll find lots of experienced answers here (like the one from @X350 XJR above, who even took the time to source the higher resolution pictures).

Don't buy a vintage watch until you have learned enough to know how much to offer. :whipped:

Thanks to everyone that posted. What are some of the sources I can use to become more knowledgeable about vintage watches? There's a lot of sources out there, but maybe you someone can help me narrow it down a bit?

Or if you really want the watch go with your gut and offer something you think is reasonable since I assume your going to wear it instead of lock in a vault, and you probably came here to ask because something about it peaked your interest. if the offer doesnt feel right then it probably isnt. Personally I'd give $150 if it ran good. But I'm just a beginner as far as omega like you are
